El Dorado Fire Rescue

We did small group trainings on Saturday - pumps, hose, and command, all at our station 3. We have one new volunteer that just joined us, it's a great time to give back to the community!

Three of our wildland firefighters were at the Farmer's Market this afternoon - Nort, Terry, and Jim - we're hoping you stopped by for a wildfire home assessment form!

Our website is awesome! We've already had several wildfire home assessment requests as well as a question or two about volunteering with us - time commitment is a huge part of the effort. Yesterday was Santa Fe County's Wildfire Education Day at Hondo Station 2 - we were pleased to send Terry and Nort in our brush truck. EFR will be hosting a Celebration of Life for both Kathie and Mervin Graham this Thursday May 28th at our Main station on AVG from 4-6pm. They were both very active in our Eldorado community: Merv with the volunteer Fire Department and Kathie with ECIA. Please consider dropping by and sharing a story about these two very kind people. Tuesday's EMS Eastern Regional training involved a visit from Careflight - we learned about helicopter safety, landing zones, traffic control and scene management. Thank you Corey for inviting your Crew and to John for organizing the training!
