About Sunny Rose Healey:
Sunny’s experience of holistic healing began by necessity, when she suffered from digestive disturbances, headaches, cervical cancer and physical pain, and found no answers in conventional medicine. She studied Ayurvedic medicine with several wonderful teachers, and eventually found her main teacher, Dr. Vasant Lad, and his school the Ayurvedic Institute, where she was first a grateful student, and later a faculty member. Sunny has also been a student of life, birth and medicine under the tutelage of indigenous medicine teachers, and magnificent midwives. And the other amazing midwives who’ve taught me (a fraction) of what you know, and who were with me in my own birthing journeys.

After my own first home birth I felt the call to stand at the gates of birth.
These amazing women took me by the hand and began leading me down the path.

After my own second birthing at home experience I decided to pause that journey and assist women with fertility, pregnancy and postpartum in other ways.

Both of my births were very difficult and it took a lot of support to keep me home. With the birth of my son I experienced a very difficult 2nd stage and hemorrhage - my midwives (including my own mother in law) were amazing and saved my life.

Deep bow of gratitude for all who walk this sleepless, intrepid path. The path our great grandmothers have walked for millennia.

You have my deepest respect for all that you do, there is no more important work in this world.

Full Moon in Swati: Nourish the Seedlings
🌱
April 26th at 23:32 eastern time, we will experience a Full Moon in Swati, a beautiful degree of sidereal Libra that connects to the potential and determination of the seedling. It strives to grow and flourish, pushes through the soil, bursting through the earth towards the Sun to become all it’s destined to be. While it can weather the storm and grow in the face of adversity, it needs proper care and nourishment in the beginning. This is where we are now: our “seedlings” are at a tender stage beginning to sprout, the new ideas and directions just beginning to take root. We need to mindfully nurture them and ourselves now.

Swati connects to the goddess Saraswati, who brings in her strong suits: personal development, education, communication, and music. This is a wonderful time to focus on these areas of life, and to see what systems and modalities are calling you. Keep the sprouting seedling in mind as you progress. There is no jumping into full manifestation, so patience and persistence are necessary.

This Full Moon has its hands full. It’s connecting with almost all of the planets, either directly or indirectly, meaning it’s negotiating with a lot of different personalities. Make sure you aren’t pushing yourself until you’re threadbare this week and next. Overextending is possible even while in a growth mindset (and sometimes especially!), and with the current Mars in Gemini / Sun, Mercury, Venus in Aries energy (recall the recent “vroom vroom” forecast).

Thankfully this specific Moon reminds us that alone time, meditation and pranayama are keys to unwinding and rooting back into ourselves. Grounding visualization techniques while meditating are also helpful with this Full Moon. As Swati is ruled by Venus and Rahu, it does well with abhyanga: Ayurvedic self massage done before bathing (scroll down for more info on the benefits and how to: https://www.lexneon.com/resources or check out link in bio). Try to find space for YOU over the next few days.

My biggest meditation for the last year has been on how to work with the subtler elements of healing, wholeness, and self care - and how to support others in this work. ⁠

For example – we can cleanse, work with diet, daily routine, exercise, take supplements and herbs - and still feel unwell. ⁠

WHY?⁠
Because even if we're doing everything "right," when we don't tend to the root of discomfort and disconnection, something profound and essential is missing.

The world most of us inhabit discounts the subtle and mystical which are an essential piece of our human wholeness. ⁠We tend to discount practice that doesn't yield quick results, reflection, rest.

Some of us have old traumas, fragmentation of the soul, disconnection from our own true nature, from Mother Nature. There are countless ways we can disconnect from Self, Truth, Source. From Wholeness.⁠

HOW CAN YOU HEAL THIS?⁠
There are myriad ways...we have access to more tools than ever.⁠

My offering toward this wholeness, I call Nourish & Reset.
This is a complete 10-day program that addresses your being on every level, in a group setting where you participate in your own home/space.

IN SPRING NOURISH & RESET
- I'll be offering you food as medicine (and an option to cleanse + reset your metabolism). We'll work with simple recipes to reclaim your kitchen as a healing tool.
- I'll be offering you practices to approach imbalance arising from mental/emotional stress and trauma - breathwork, meditation and smoke and water clearings.
- From the wisdom of Āyurveda I'll be offering you daily self care and cleansing rituals.

For 8 seasons I have lead a panchakarma style cleanse every spring and fall.
This will be my first spring in 4 years not offering this cleanse.

​So when I announced Nourish & Reset spring session last week, longtime students and clients asked me - "why no deep cleanse?"​
​​
Because I'm listening... and what I hear, is that people are exhausted, worried, frustrated, overwhelmed.

I began to hear this in the late fall/early winter, and saw how few people finished my fall cleanse strong. At that point I decided I wouldn't lead a deep cleanse this spring.

There's also a logistical piece- which is that many have either recently had Covid, or a vaccination. For me, these are contraindications for a deep cleanse right now. Please understand - this is just my opinion, based on experience and intuition from having lead a few hundred people through panchakarma style cleanses.​

​If you're exhausted, disheartened, or if the last year has taken on a toll on you - consider Nourish & Reset.
We will gently cleanse, nourish and tend to our bodies, hearts and minds. Consider that perhaps in a more vulnerable state, this may be just the thing, and more appropriate than a deep cleanse.

​In this reset, I'll be teaching you how to gently cleanse, nourish, and also how to reset your metabolism if appropriate.

​This program is appropriate for all - I'll even provide options for pregnant and nursing moms.

We'll do some nourishing, soulful sacred movement classes with @maréhieronimus and restorative yoga nidra with @scottmooreyoga, plus breathwork and ritual with me. And of course food as medicine.
