Unity Santa Fe
A welcoming interspiritual community that celebrates the oneness and divinity of all
08/19/2026
We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Unity minister Rev. Edwene Gaines.
Throughout her life, Rev. Edwene shared a powerful message of abundance, teaching that prosperity is not simply about what we have, but about the consciousness we cultivate within.
Ordained as a Unity minister in 1979, Rev. Edwene was a renowned author and spiritual teacher. She touched countless lives and inspired many to embrace a greater sense of possibility and abundance.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and everyone who was blessed by her wisdom and presence. We honor her remarkable legacy and give thanks for a life devoted to spiritual growth and transformation.
"A Life Worth Living" 🐕 - Dr. Martha Quintana - August 16th, 2026
Dear Beloved Ones,
There's a movement afoot to create a life worth living. What does this mean? Where do I start? Does a life worth living find me content with the self I’ve become or at peace with whatever happened to me? Does it give me purpose?
If I go deeper, surely there’s something more to this. How do I use this “something more” to revel in the grace that is my being? On Sunday, let’s revel together in the goodness of self and each other. Let's join the life-worth-living club.
I'm looking forward to spending time with you!
Rev. Dr. Martha Quintana
“Believe that life is worth living and your belief
will help create the fact.”
William James
“There are four questions of value in life, Don Octavio. What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same.
Only love.”
Lord Byron
“I live to enjoy life by the littlest things... Just the feeling itself
of being alive, the absolute amazing fact that we are
here right now, breathing, thinking, doing.”
— Anonymous
“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.”
David Attenborough

Happy 49th Birthday Unity Santa Fe! 🎈🎁🪅🎊🥳
“Birth and Beyond: The Future is Calling!” 🎉 - Rev. Liz - August 8th, 2026
Dear Beloved One,
The future isn’t something that simply happens to us—it is something that calls us forward. As Unity Santa Fe celebrates another birthday, we honor and celebrate where we’ve been; however, our greatest attention is on where Spirit is inviting us to be in the years to come.
Imagine Unity Santa Fe celebrating its 100th birthday one day…
What stories will they tell about us? Will they say this was the congregation that played it safe…or the congregation that dreamed so boldly the future had to catch up?
Through music, inspiration, and a meaningful interactive experience, we’ll listen for what the future is asking of us. Join us as we celebrate 49 years of spiritual community—not as the finish line, but as the launching pad for the decades ahead.
Together we’ll imagine the community we are becoming, the lives waiting to be transformed, and the love still longing to find a home through us. Come prepared to dream boldly, laugh together, and discover that the greatest chapter of our story is still being written.
With great gratitude and love always,
Rev. Liz

Today, we celebrate the birth of Myrtle Fillmore, whose faith helped give rise to the Unity movement more than a century ago.
Her life reminds us that spiritual truth is meant to be lived. Each time we choose faith over fear, love over judgment, or possibility over limitation, we honor Myrtle's example and carry her legacy forward.
Happy Birthday, Myrtle Fillmore! 🎉

"Hell Hath No Fury"🔥- Rev. Kit Holmes - August 2nd 2026
From neuroscience and modern mental health and wellness modalities to New Thought/Ancient Wisdom teachings, we’ve come to understand that all emotions, including anger, are expressions of energy. Spiritual consciousness principles state that emotions and thoughts are powerful forces that shape our lives – that our emotions fuel manifestation. The key lies in how we direct them.
We know that unchecked anger can cause great harm to ourselves and others. So, what if anger is not something to fix but a signal to follow? If we acknowledge it, understand its roots, and consciously choose to channel it, that same energy can be used constructively, for healing, justice, and creative expression. Through spiritual awareness, destructive impulses become instruments of growth and healing, both individually and collectively.
This week, guest speaker Rev. Kit Holmes invites us to consider this powerful question: How can I honor my anger and still choose love? Join us as we explore anger as a vital force for transformation.
“Anger is a great force. If you control it, it can be transmuted into a power which can move the whole world.”
Mahatma Gandhi
"In times of great stress or adversity, it's always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and your energy into something positive." - Lee Iacocca
"It is wise to direct your anger towards problems, not people; to focus your energies on answers, not excuses."
William Arthur Ward
