POV: you almost skipped the room with the fireplace because, hello, August. Then a monsoon rolls in at golden hour, the temperature drops, and suddenly you're the smartest person alive - fire lit, rain on the window, zero plans.
High-desert nights cool off even in summer. This is us telling you to book the fireplace.

The Perseids peak this week, and here's what city people forget: you need real dark to see it. Fifteen minutes past our acres, the sky stops being navy and starts being full - meteors, the actual Milky Way, the kind of dark that makes you go quiet.

Hot days, genuinely cool nights, rain right on schedule. Pack the layer. Thank us later.

POV: it's 4 o'clock in a Santa Fe August. The morning was blue and innocent. Then the clouds stack up over the mountains like they've got something to prove, the first fat drops hit the patio, and the whole mesa smells like rain and pinon.
Monsoon season is the most dramatic thing we own - and we didn't even pay extra for it.
