Therapeutic Breathwork Workshop
with Lauren Morlock
Sunday, December 11
3:00 - 4:30pm
In-Studio ONLY
$30 + tax
Breathwork is an active meditation that brings about an elevated state of consciousness. The practice consists of conscious, connected breath -- in and out through the open mouth, without pause, slightly faster than normal paced breathing. The breath is practiced to a set of music to support and guide the experience.
Therapeutic Breathwork is an effective tool for exploring the body; the emotional, physical and energetic bodies. This conscious breathing allows what may be buried in the psyche or in the body on the cellular level to arise and process in a safe and supportive container. It allows us to be in our bodies in a space of presence and nurturing to the Self. Oftentimes we are left feeling lighter, spacious and aligned after the session.
This session will last 90 min. We will check in, set intention, breathe for 45 min, and then integrate post breathe. This is an experiential class and can become quite sweet, supportive and intimate. No experience necessary. This is a great tool for those who struggle with anxiety, stress, depression, substance use, pain, grief, trauma, insomnia, and more. It is also simply a great tool for getting to know the Self more intimately, feeling more self love and empowerment. I’ve seen Breathwork change the quality of many lives, including my own.

Like yoga, writing is a spiritual practice. A blend of active movement, yin yoga, process writing and sharing, this workshop is designed to hold space for emotional release through feeling what is happening in the physical and emotional bodies and allowing those discoveries to emerge on paper and in community. Time spent together interweaves yoga asana with writing and sharing as an ongoing opportunity to move through vulnerability to experience truth and foster the courage to tell it.

Ashtanga is a traditional form of yoga in which the primary focus is on the breath as one moves through a flowing sequence of poses. It is, in essence, a moving meditation, with a profound ability to quiet the mind as it increases flexibility, strength, and balance.
This class provides the option for an instructor-led practice or for mysore-style (individual) practice in the same room. Both the led and mysore-style practices include a focus on alignment and modifications appropriate to tailor the practices to individual bodies. This class is co-taught, with one instructor leading the class, while another provides one-on-one instruction for those practicing in the mysore-style format.
This class is intended to foster and support a community of yoga practitioners, regardless of experience level.

Singing has been used for centuries to soothe and celebrate, communicate and connect. It is an ageless art that adapts to every culture and circumstance from the mundane to the divine. Despite what we tell ourselves, everyone can sing. In this circle, we will practice warm-up techniques to strengthen and tone our inner instruments. We will share songs in the oral tradition, so you do not need to be able to read music. And most importantly, we will explore melodies, harmonies, and the magic that comes from singing together.
The circle will close with a healing, musical savasana (relaxation pose).

September Focus: Therapeutic Core
Do you experience back, hip, knee, shoulder and neck pain? If the answer is yes, strengthening your deep core muscles can help a lot with reducing your pain. If your core muscles are weak, they’re not doing the job of supporting you from the inside out. So even if you’re practicing yoga and other good forms of movement you may still be experiencing pain or injury.
In class this month you’ll learn how to tone & access primary core muscles to stabilize your spine, shoulder & pelvic girdles utilizing the coordination of the breath with engagement of these muscles in asana. This is a very powerful & transformative practice which also stabilizes your mind and your emotions. Be prepared to feel much stronger and stable in body, mind & breath. After this month you’ll be able to incorporate using your core into your daily activities, yoga and exercise.
Caution:You may experience less back, neck, shoulder, hip pain, etc., confidence & clarity of mind!
Week 2: Pelvic floor core plus feet
Week 3: Abdominal core
Week 4: Mid-back core & Neck Core
Individual yoga therapy with me is more appropriate for those of you with more acute conditions such as a rotator cuff injury, thoracic outlet syndrome, cervical disc herniation or impingement. Please visit my website at www.cynthianero.com for more information.

This series is for those who have never experienced yoga, those who have been away from practice, or those regular students who wish to refresh the basics. Three classes over three weeks are designed to give time and support to the new (or returning) yoga student.
These classes will introduce you to basic yoga poses and familiarize you with everything needed to feel comfortable on the mat. They lay the foundation for a regular practice, empower you to practice safely and to feel confident about participating in our Level 1 classes.
Join Melissa to master the basics and discover the wonders of yoga.

This Saturday at YogaSource join Tatyana for an Iyengar Ropes Workshop!
In this two hour workshop we will explore the use of ropes for all groups of yoga asanas - sitting and standing asanas, forward bends, backbends, inversions and restorative poses. We will use the ropes to become aware of our alignment, and to open, stretch and strengthen specific areas of the body. It is also a lot of fun to practice with ropes!
Kuranti means a puppet. We will become like puppets suspended by ropes.
Register now, as this workshop is limited to six participants.
