The Rotary Club of Montecito is grateful for your support.
We are deeply thankful to our amazing community, local businesses, individuals, and fellow Rotary clubs and districts who came together to support our rescue relief drive. Your generosity and care were truly heartwarming. Thanks to you, we collected an incredible amount of essential items for the LA fire victims.
A special shout-out to:
Nancy Crawford, President of the Rotary Club of Santa Maria Noon
Angela Miller-Bevin and her team at the Unity Shop
Pam Plesons and her employees at Plow to Porch
Cathy Calabro, Mary Kay consultant and President of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North
Kim Stone, our own president, with La Pêche Events
Their contributions were so significant that we needed two separate trips to deliver everything!
One trip was coordinated with the help of Districts 5280 and 5300, who are doing incredible work to assist people in their areas.
Your kindness and support are a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together. Thank you for making a difference!

As fires continue to devastate Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and other areas, it is a critical time for us to come together and support our fellow Rotarians in District 5280 and their communities.
I can’t help but reflect on the devastation our own community experienced exactly seven years ago in January, 2018. Many of us felt helpless, unsure of how to support those affected. This time, we have an opportunity to act and make a difference for others facing similar heartbreak. Let’s channel our compassion and resilience to extend the support we received to our fellow Californians during their time of need.
Since yesterday, I’ve been in contact with our District Governor, Sherry Sims, the President of the Rotary Club of Pacific Palisades, Hagop Tchakerian, and Nancy Crawford, President of the Rotary Club of Santa Maria Noontime. Nancy and her team are collecting much-needed items for the evacuees and victims of these fires, and I am organizing a collection point here in Santa Barbara to contribute to this effort.
Donation Drop-Off Details:
Please bring your items to my office at:
920 De La Vina Street, Santa Barbara, CA
After hours, please leave them on the front porch and text me that they are there.
Nancy and her team will pick up these donations next weekend to deliver them directly to the disaster-affected areas.
Items Needed:
• Bottled water
• New or gently used clothes (all sizes)
• Blankets
• Face masks
• Meals (individually packaged, ready-to-eat)
• Snacks (non-perishable)
• Pet items (food, bedding, leashes, etc.)
Additionally, if you can provide lodging or financial contributions, please take a moment to complete the form shared by District Governor Sherry Sims yesterday:

Your generosity and care will directly impact those affected by these fires. Together, we can make a significant difference in their recovery and resilience.
If you have any questions or need assistance with arranging a donation, please feel free to contact me directly.
Thank you for your compassion and action during this critical time.
Warm regards,
Kim Stone
