🧡 With a new month comes a new Learner Outcome! In October, we’re exploring what it means to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, to see the world through their eyes, and to appreciate unique perspectives. Our focus this month is on becoming empathetic citizens. 🌟 Get ready for some meaningful conversations that will help us grow as caring and connected individuals.

iLEAD Exploration High School Spotlight: Rylan

Rylan spent 4 weeks at the prestigious California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) at Cal Poly Pomona! Immersed in the animation department, Rylan created paper-cutout animations, flipbooks, and a short film—earning college credit, a Governor’s medal, and the title of California Arts Scholar.

Between learning life drawing, hearing from guest artists like Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time) and Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls), and making new connections, Rylan gained major industry inspiration.

Thanks to the flexible iLEAD Exploration schedule and Dual Enrollment options, Rylan is already working on an ambitious new animated short film.

Rylan’s Advice: "Talk to your teachers about what you’re interested in... Ask questions, stay curious, and be willing to try new things."

As we move into October, our learners are setting goals, celebrating early wins, and working through their Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) with our dedicated staff. We are so grateful to partner with our amazing families to help every child reach their full potential! 🌟✨
