In my practice, I have the privilege of meeting so many strong, resilient women. I’m constantly inspired by and in awe of the power these women have to create change for themselves.

What’s your Election Day plan for managing anxiety? Here’s my plan!

Limit and filter content about results. Choose one or two trusted sources of information.

Stay in touch with someone that shares similar views that can validate a shared experience.

Choose a soothing or productive activity to distract.

Regardless of the results, consider the topics of importance to continue working towards and building awareness for.

I am so honored to have been asked by the incredible organization to speak about the impact of on employees working from home while balancing their families.

It’s amazing to see big names like this one, and other companies around the Bay Area really step up to support their staff and employees during this unprecedented time.

I’m the Mom Who's Failing at Quarantine, Who’s With Me? 03/31/2020

Such a great read. I’ve been finding myself in many sessions talking about how to support kids, how to help create structure, how to help them through this challenging time. It’s important to remember that WE also need support, structure, time to manage our own emotions, how to grieve the things/events/people we have also lost during this time, no matter how big or small. Take some time today for yourself. Our kids are resilient and will remember how this time felt, rather than what cool craft or activity they did, and that is something we, as parents, can have the biggest impact on.

I’m the Mom Who's Failing at Quarantine, Who’s With Me? In the weeks since becoming homebound in our new Covid Life, I've been experiencing some next-level mom-guilt. I am basically failing quarantine, and, problem is, I don't know when I'll be able to turn it around.

Creating normalcy during these anything but normal times is important for all of us, especially kids. There are several sample schedules out there but in our home, the kids were a part of creating the schedule so that I could ensure they would have some buy in to adhering to it.

I was happy to find them already on schedule and working away happily this morning.

I had the older one write the schedules, choose/print out work sheets for both boys, and tasked him with keeping them on track. A lot of older siblings enjoy feeling important and will take on the role of teaching the littler ones happily.

Stay healthy!

When the sudden passing of a beloved figure hits the news, it hits hard. Sometimes, we are surprised by our reactions, as we didn’t know them personally but grief is grief, and there are no rules or guidelines. A loss of a public figure can be just as painful as an extended family member, as they may have symbolized countless memories and life experiences. Whether it be a musician whose songs bring us back to simpler times, an actor whose movies provided a much needed escape or a beloved athlete who we joined together with loved ones to root and cheer for, what we are left with are powerful, meaningful moments in our lives that are associated with that person.

When we mourn any loved one, finding closeness with others who shared our feelings and experiences can be helpful and comforting. Knowing we are not alone in our grief can be very powerful.
