The Hop Yard Alehouse & Grill - San Ramon

San Ramon Hopyard is looking for experienced line cooks. Must be available on weekends.

- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
- Plating prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations

The Hopyard Ale House and Grill is looking for an experienced cook with kitchen management experience. We're seeking an individual with an energetic personality, a passion for cooking and some creativity. This is a working cook position, so candidates should enjoy rolling up their sleeves and jumping in on the line.

We're seeking someone with a work history of progressive advancement in the kitchen.

Pay: $65k/year

Duties & Responsibilities

-Ensure 100% compliance with all C-
company policies and laws
-Make hiring and termination
recommendations to General Manager
-Scheduling kitchen staff
-Ensuring Safety /Sanitation/Follow Covid
Procedures
-Monitoring food and beverage quality
and ex*****on
-Placing and receiving orders
-Following strict date labeling and FIFO
-Monitoring and evaluating daily prep
production
-Monitoring and evaluating all
employees efficiency and timelines
-Reduce labor costs along with waste
-Keep the kitchen clean and implement
new cleaning procedures
-Coach, Mentor Staff
Ensuring all BOH staff is properly trained
in all relevant areas
-Lead by example

Qualifications

-Minimum 5 years experience in
supervisory position
-Able to lead in a positive manner
-Attention to all detail - from
dishwashing to the line
-Must work nights and weekends
-Manager Servesafe Certification
-Strong Culinary abilities and experience
-Able to run a line with very low ticket times
-Strong time management and
organizing skills

- Prep work
- Taking garbage and trash to dumpster area
- Washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors
- Assembling, maintaining and breaking down the dish machine

We are seeking experienced bartenders and servers who can start right away. Experience with POS systems is preferred. Must have friendly demeanor and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
