Five years ago, Her Allies was built on a simple belief: women re-entering the workforce deserve more than advice. They deserve real people in their corner.
None of this happens without our founders, Tabitha Paturi Vicki Yang Kim Capps, and Michelle Paganucci, and every volunteer and community member who has shown up alongside them.
Help us reach more women. Visit herallies.org to get involved. And if you know someone preparing to relaunch her career, we have a free interview prep workshop next Thursday, May 21: https://bit.ly/4uM7TLl
Here's to five more years. 💛

To close out Volunteer Appreciation Month, we want you to meet Zakiya Simmons-Earl.
Zakiya is a Technical Compliance Audit Advisor at Elevance Health and CEO of Resilient Excellence Consulting, but what brought her to Her Allies was personal. She's lived the experience many of our members are navigating right now. When she was matched with a mom returning to work after the pandemic, she got to work too, connecting her mentee directly with people in her network, including a colleague in her target field and a talent recruiter, and helping her see paths she hadn't considered.
We're so glad she's part of this community. 💛

We want you to meet Shelly Glenn, one of our Her Allies volunteers.
Shelly is a career coach who worked with one woman returning to work after years away. They rebuilt her resume together, strengthened her LinkedIn, and ran through interview strategies until she felt ready. She got the job, and Shelly says watching that happen reminded her exactly why this work matters.
We’re really glad she’s part of this community. 💛

This month, we're celebrating the volunteers who make Her Allies what it is, and we want you to meet Revital Padovitz.
Revital is an executive coach and former tech leader who has rebuilt her career more than once, across countries and through seasons of her life that required starting completely over. She knows what that period of uncertainty actually feels like, and that's exactly what she brings to her mentees.
One of her mentees had been out of the workforce for six years and had recently navigated a serious illness. Revital didn't hand her a checklist. She stayed with her, worked through her values and strengths, and helped her find her footing again.
We're so grateful for volunteers like Revital. 💛

One of the hardest parts of a job search isn't finding the right opportunity. It's finding the right words to describe what you bring to it. Many women know exactly what they're capable of but struggle to say it out loud without feeling like they're overstating it.
This Thursday, April 23 from 3:30–4:30 PM PT, join us for a free Her Allies workshop with Megan Rees, LPCC and career coach. 💛
The session focuses on building confidence and learning how to tell your professional story in a way that feels true to you, whether you're an introvert, extrovert, or somewhere in between.
Spots are limited. Register today: https://luma.com/o1n6ozcg

This April, we’re celebrating the volunteers who make Her Allies possible, and we want you to meet Nancy Carleton.
Nancy is a global media executive who joined Her Allies because she believes non-linear careers have real value, having lived one herself. As a mentor, she helped one woman reframe a demoralizing stretch of interviews from rejection into redirection.
The woman found her confidence again, and the job offer followed.
We’re so grateful Nancy is part of what we’re building here. 💛

Happy International Women's Day! 🌟
When Becky first signed up to mentor with Her Allies, she thought she’d simply be giving back. What she didn’t expect was how meaningful the experience would be for her too.
Her mentee was returning to the workforce after time away. They worked through it together, rebuilding confidence and navigating the job search. After several interview rounds and even hearing “no,” something amazing happened: the company came back and offered her the job.
"She'd already been told no — when she told me they came back, I literally had goosebumps."
Her mentee got the job at her dream company.
That's what give to gain looks like in real life. Moments like this remind us of the power of women supporting women.
As Becky puts it: "Time away didn't dim your brilliance. You're still just as powerful, capable, and ready."
