🌿 What are Family Constellations?

Family Constellations invite us to look beyond the individual and see the larger systems we belong to.

Because sometimes, what feels like a personal struggle is connected to something much bigger.

✨ A relationship pattern that keeps repeating.
✨ A sense of not quite belonging.
✨ A family story that seems to echo across generations.
✨ A feeling that you're carrying something that may not actually be yours.

Our families are systems. We are shaped by the people who came before us, the relationships we were born into, the losses and transitions our families experienced, and the ways those experiences influenced belonging and connection.

🌱 A constellation makes these relationships visible.

Rather than judging, resisting, or trying to rewrite the past, constellation work invites us to see more clearly what is present.

And from there, we can become curious about:

💫 What is ours?
💫 What may have its origins elsewhere in the family system?
💫 What have we been carrying?
💫 What might become possible when something previously outside our awareness comes into view?

💙 Meet Betsy Gornet ✨

Betsy first experienced Family Constellations in 2005 and has been learning from the work ever since. She completed facilitator training approximately a decade later and has been facilitating constellations for the past 11 years.

🌿 Her appreciation for this work is deeply connected to her professional life.

For more than 30 years, Betsy has worked in hospice and healthcare, where she has had the privilege of hearing and witnessing family experiences and stories that reach across generations.

She has also encountered similar patterns through her work in leadership coaching and Transformational NLP—where what appears to be a present-day challenge can sometimes have deeper roots.

✨ “Constellation work has given Betsy another way to be curious about these connections.”

For Betsy, one of the possibilities within this work is greater freedom:
💙 Recognizing what we carry
💙 Appreciating where it came from
💙 Allowing what belongs to the past to take its place there

Not because our histories cease to matter, but because we may become more able to make choices grounded in our own lives rather than unknowingly repeating something that began before us.
