It's a monthly plan built around your kids — their actual ages, their actual stage. Because what a 4-year-old needs from you and what a 14-year-old needs from you are almost opposite things, and most dad advice pretends otherwise.

Each month gives you a focus. Conversation starters that work at that age. A one-on-one ritual worth building. A tradition worth starting now, while they still want to. Then it refreshes the next year, because they won't be the same kid.

That's it. A plan for the next 12 months of being their dad. 🗺️

Instead of watching a movie tonight, spend an hour making the trailer for your own.

Here's the whole thing: pick a genre. Your family is now a heist crew, a nature documentary, a horror film set entirely in the laundry room. Shoot eight or ten clips on your phone — someone slow-motion walking away from the open fridge, the dog framed like a villain, a dramatic close-up of Mom finding the dishes in the sink. Add a title card at the end. Something like THIS FALL. ONE FAMILY. ZERO CLEAN SOCKS.

The editing app doesn't matter. The quality doesn't matter. What matters is the arguing over casting, which takes twenty minutes and is the best part.

Total cost: nothing. Total run time: about 45 seconds. Rewatch value: years.
