Shoulder control becomes more important as we age. It supports safe lifting, better posture and smoother movement during sport and daily activities. This mini band drill is a simple way to build that control without placing stress on the joint.
Place a small band around your wrists. Press gently outward to create light tension. Hold the position and keep the shoulders steady. The goal is slow engagement, not force. 🔥
This kind of isometric work strengthens the muscles that stabilise the shoulder. It improves how the shoulder blade moves, protects the joint during rotation and reduces unnecessary strain through the neck and upper back.

The hinge is one of the most important moves for moving well and staying pain free. 🔥
Start simple:
Place your hands behind your head and maintain a flat back as you hinge at the hips. For many seniors, it is even better to cross your arms over your chest and keep your feet hip-width apart to build a solid foundation.
As you widen your stance, the movement gets more challenging, especially for men with tight inner thighs. When that stiffness kicks in, other parts of the body begin to compensate.
