Volvo Penta D4 firepumps in action.
Yesterday morning, Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol's newest boat was first on scene at Platform Habitat — a natural gas platform 7.5 miles off Carpinteria, mid-decommissioning, on fire. D4 firepumps threw water 50 to 70 feet up onto the platform deck. All 26 crew evacuated safely. Fire knocked down within hours.

After nearly 14 years of phone calls, getting to finally meet in person—and bring my son along—made it even more special.
One of my favorite parts of this business is how it extends beyond just work. Our kids grow up around it too… and clearly, Emmitt is already a fan of a good shop tour (especially when there’s a solid parts inventory involved 😄).
