Today we're harvesting the sweet Cuban aji Cachucha we grew for Chez Panisse in Berkeley. Chef Jerome Waag will be roasting them and making a delicious Cachucha butter for the steaks on tomorrow night's menu! Time to make your reservations!

¡Chilhuacles! So far so good with our chilhuacle chiles in Comal's rooftop garden...

After weeks of enjoying homemade muesli with fresh-picked raspberries and boysenberries for breakfast, it's nice to have a new crop coming in. This was today's morning meal of goat cheese and sweet Kadota figs. What breakfast foods are you growing/making?

The summer solstice may have been last week, but for us summer "officially" starts with the first tomato harvest. Enjoying this tomato and basil salad for lunch today, still warm from the sun.

Another good reason for growing your own food is being able to host a "farm to table" dinner right in your own back yard. Here's a shot from one of our recent garden dinners.

Nice visual of what declining bee populations mean to food. The Xerces society partnered with a Whole Foods store in Providence, RI and removed all produce from plants dependent on pollinators. If you eat food, you need to care about bees!
