In the Chinese Zodiac, 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, begins with the New Moon on February 17, 2026. The complete cycle of Chinese Zodiacs is 60 years – 12 animals x 5 elements – so the last Fire Horse was in 1966. If you are mature in years, you might remember that time which was full of drama, including the escalation of the Vietnam War, major Civil Rights activism led by Martin Luther King, and the founding of the Black Panther Party.

What can we expect from a Fire Horse year? Think energy, dynamism and rapid change, with the Fire element amplifying the Horse's natural spirit of freedom, speed, and passion. With this combination we often feel that life is moving at a faster pace, so it is especially important to stay attuned to our energy reserves and our body’s limits. The Horse has energy to spare, but can be unpredictable. It all comes down to the quality of the rider. Who’s in charge this year?
