SAVE THIS POST FOR LATER ‼️

Post-workout nutrition is just as crucial as pre-workout nutrition. After pushing yourself in the gym, it’s essential to refuel properly to maximize your progress and recovery.

So, what should you eat after a workout?

I aim to eat something within 30 minutes of finishing my session—usually a piece of fruit paired with a protein shake. About an hour later, I follow up with a well-balanced meal to replenish energy and support muscle recovery. If I’m still hungry, I’ll go for a balanced snack to keep me fueled until my next meal..

Underrated Affordable “Superfoods”‼️

We here at FBB aren’t huge fans of the buzzword “superfoods.” All nutrient-dense whole foods offer various benefits, some more unique than others. This is why we promote an inclusive nutrient-dense whole-food diet with lots of variety.

With that being said, if you want to get the most bang for your buck in terms of nutrients, here are some underrated affordable options. Save this post for the next time you go to the grocery store!

Have the hyrox bug? Don’t do a random workout that just jacks up your heart rate. Instead, give this workout a try. The goal is a consistent sustainable pace. Don’t come out too hot, but don’t cruise through this. Be intentional.

You workout but don’t look like it.

Spoiler alert: it’s not your genetics. It’s one (or more) of these.

In my opinion, the warm up is more important than the workout itself.

It sets the tone for your entire session. If you’re going through the motions during your warm up, you can’t expect yourself to show up for a killer workout.

And if your warm just consists of static stretching, that’s a problem in itself. I like to move my body in not so typical ways: maybe some light jumping, a little pump work, movement exploration - something that challenges me a bit mentally and physically.

The intention is to prime my nervous system, not just stretch my muscles. Next time you train, pay attention to how you warm up. It might be the difference between an average session and a great one.
