The Falkirk Cultural Center invites you to enjoy the final weeks of its acclaimed Spring Exhibit, featuring the exceptional work of Bay Area artists Peter Moen and Nikki Contini, along with the talented artists of the Second Friday Art Salon. 🎨

Join us for a special reception on Friday, June 12, from 5:00pm–7:30pm and experience this inspiring collection before the exhibition closes.

As Water Safety Month comes to an end, remember that drowning can happen in seconds — in pools, lakes, bathtubs, and any body of water. Knowing the signs of drowning can help save a life. It is important to recognize the signs of drowning. ⚠️

-Little to no splashing or yelling for help -Arms pressing down on the water
-Head low in the water
-Difficulty moving forward or staying afloat -Eyes that appear closed or glassy

Drowning is often silent because a person struggling to breathe cannot call out for help. Being prepared matters. Learning CPR or becoming Lifeguard certified is a great first step in helping during an emergency. The Terra Linda Community Center & Pool offers training opportunities year-round to help build lifesaving skills in our community. 🛟

Para terminar el Mes de la Seguridad Acuática, recuerda que el ahogamiento puede ocurrir en segundos — en piscinas, lagos, bañeras y cualquier cuerpo de agua. Es importante conocer las señales de ahogamiento puede ayudar a salvar una vida. ⚠️

- Poco o ningún chapoteo o gritos de ayuda - Brazos empujando hacia abajo en el agua - La cabeza baja en el agua
- Dificultad para avanzar o mantenerse a flote
- Ojos cerrados o con mirada perdida

El ahogamiento suele ser silencioso porque una persona que lucha por respirar no puede pedir ayuda. Estar preparado es importante. Aprender RCP o certificarse como salvavidas es un gran primer paso para ayudar en una emergencia. El Terra Linda Community Center & Pool ofrece oportunidades de capacitación durante todo el año para ayudar a desarrollar habilidades que salvan vidas en nuestra comunidad. 🛟

Families joined us for swim assessments, CPR demos, kayak races, life jacket fittings, snow cones, and more while learning valuable water safety skills. Huge thanks to our community partners and everyone who came out to help bring this event back for the first time in 13 years! 🌟

¡El Día de la Seguridad Acuática hizo olas este mes en la Piscina Terra Linda! 🌊

Las familias disfrutaron evaluaciones de natación, demostraciones de RCP, carreras de kayak, ajustes de chalecos salvavidas, raspados gratis y más, mientras aprendían importantes habilidades de seguridad en el agua. ¡Muchísimas gracias a nuestros socios comunitarios y a todas las personas que ayudaron a traer de regreso este evento por primera vez en 13 años! 🌟

Last month, we invited the community to celebrate Día del Niño with a day full of games, books, activities, a magic show, and Zumba, all in honor of the little ones in our community!
Thank you to every volunteer, participant, and partner who made this beautiful community moment possible. ¡Gracias a todos!
