FREE books for children in Marin ages 0-5! ๐Ÿ“š

Local partners are helping connect Marin families to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a free program that mails a high-quality, age-appropriate book to young children every month until their 5th birthday.

Early literacy is one of the strongest predictors of later academic success, and programs like this help create strong starts for learning and a lifelong love of reading.

Meet the young changemakers shaping the future of Canal. ๐ŸŒŸ

When Cynthia and Belida found out about the low literacy and graduation rates in their community, they decided to do something about it.

Through the Canal Promise Neighborhood and Nuestro Canal, Nuestro Futuro, these Marin students are learning what it means to be advocates, researchers, and leaders for the place they call home.

Their voices are a reminder that the people most affected by a problem often have the clearest vision for how to solve it.
