Two events, one amazing community. 💙💛 A huge thank you to everyone who recently joined us for Fun Fest and Trivia Night in support of the eSibonisweni ePOP program.

In the midst of their robotics unit, 6th graders are in the Creativity Lab building robots out of materials from vex coding kits, then learning how to code them to complete challenges like picking up blocks and riding ramps.

Last week, 3rd graders experienced outdoor ed at Walker creek. They explored and learned about the natural environment, hiked, and bonded as a class. This is students’ first year on outdoor ed, and the first of many whole-class outdoor adventures!

Yesterday, 8th graders presented their Capstone Projects in front of peers, teachers, and parents/guardians. For the past several months, they have been exploring a personal interest through an essential question. They conducted research, which included interviewing an expert, and did a hands-on project that dived deep into their biggest curiosities.

Who’s coming to the Faculty/Staff Fun Fest this Friday?! We’ve got all kinds of performances for your entertainment, and the event benefits the Mark Day School and eSibonisweni Primary Orphan Program (ePOP) partnership. We hope to see you there!

Faculty/staff vs. 8th grade volleyball game! It was tough competition with many great volleys, but the faculty came out victorious this year!

Alumni parent Dr. Prasad visited 1st grade today to share real human organs during their study of the human body.

Students from our partner school in Taipei, Ren-Ai, are immersed in classrooms during their visit. It’s been particularly wonderful to learn with them in Mandarin. Mark Day students have been applying their language skills with native speakers, and it’s been a great learning experience!

Track & Field Day! Students in grades 4-8 competed in track events like the 100m, 800m, long jump, and discus. It was a fun day of friendly competition!
