In most ancient cultures there was never a division between a classically educated person and astrological knowledge. In India this was especially true, and even today in our ‘modern’ times, many traditional Vaidyas, or Ayurvedic doctors, will be versed in some, if not much astrology.
Why is that so? Because Ayurveda and Jyotiṣa have always been seamlessly intertwined as sister sciences by a culture that valued the subtle and the subjective as a means for healing.
