When you decide it’s time to finish up a few tidbits you cut out a long time ago… Dare I say, “coming soon”?

Another repeat pattern in another theme and color palette that I wouldn’t typically choose. I am just trying to keep making patterns and following prompts helps. Here is my contribution to the popsicle prompt from ~ And besides, who doesn’t love blue skies, sunshine and popsicles?
I decided to just use the native Illustrator tools for this as a little refresher.

Earlier today I posted a story with my very first small collection of three repeat patterns created in Adobe Illustrator. Last month I completed Bonnie Christine's Immersion course after wanting to learn Illustrator for YEARS! It ended up taking me a little while to get my confidence up and create something that seemed complete (and ultimately share it here).
It turns out, having a specific theme imposed upon me by an outside source was just the push I needed. Joining the Creative Studio Collective's had me thinking about Valentine's Day in June.
Traditional Valentines aren’t really my thing, but I love hearts! So much so that my kids help me collect heart-shaped rocks on every family trip or beach outing. I decided to photograph some of my favorites that I’ve gathered over the years and pull them into Illustrator.
Would I buy these designs on fabric? Probably not. But I can totally imagine them as gift wrap or notebook covers or maybe even a new phone case.

Functional cuteness coming your way soon! Unfortunately not in time for Holiday shipping, but I “might” have a mini sidewalk sale at my studio early in the week for locals (fully masked and distanced, of course).
Just a small assortment of canvas zipper pouches in various sizes. This one is 5” wide at the base (7” along zipper), 4” high and 2” deep and perfect to carry any little essentials.
