You can read about coaching. You can watch videos about coaching. But you won't become a coach until you practice.
Co-Active training is built on experiential learning. You learn by doing.
In Foundations, you explore the relational skills that ground everything.
In Ignite, you start coaching real people with real challenges.
In Deepen, you refine your practice under expert supervision.
The skills move from your head to your body. By the time you finish, you're not thinking through frameworks. You're responding from the capability you've built through embodied practice.

Stress is an inherent part of life. The question is whether we're equipped to build lasting inner strength to manage it, rather than just survive it. To do that, we need more than breathing exercises and time off.
Resilience coaching works with how the brain processes stress, using neuroscience to help clients regulate emotions and access inner resources.
One of the most powerful techniques? Asking clients to use metaphors.
Instead of analyzing the problem, they describe it as a weather system, a landscape, or a movie plot. That distance activates whole-brain thinking, opening up insight that pure problem-focus can't reach.
Stress doesn't have to be an obstacle. With the right tools, it becomes a portal to insights and power.

A lot of people would make incredible coaches, but they don’t always know how to recognize the signs that hint at their natural skills.
Perhaps you’ve noticed:
➤ You are genuinely curious about people. You want to understand what is underneath what they say, instead of jumping straight to conclusions.
➤ You believe people are capable, not broken. You tend to see potential in people, even when they feel stuck, and you want to support them in finding their own way forward.
➤ You care deeply about relationships. You want to truly focus on the other person’s feelings and go beyond trying to just solve a problem.
➤ People often come to you to talk things through. Friends, family, or colleagues seek you out when they need to process a life event or make a decision.
In Co-Active Foundations: Human Being & Human Doing, you explore relational frameworks and basic systems that help you bring these instincts into intentional practice in your life and relationships, whether or not you decide to pursue professional coaching.
If any of this sounds like you, Foundations is a perfect place to hone those natural skills: https://bit.ly/4naFICY

International Coaching Week 2026 is a wrap, and this community showed up beautifully.
Across two live sessions, Co-Active coaches and learners from around the world came together to do what this community does best: be present with each other, stay curious, and practice in real time. In the chats, people shared their insights, reflections, and authentic selves. They drew out of themselves powerful realizations that stirred the community as everyone held space for one another and the energy that comes from seeing coaching happen live.
"No matter what I add to my competencies, I always come back to Co-Active as my core everything."
"It was stunningly effective. Great Co-Active partnership. Loved the powerful questions and how they lead one to another."
"You stop reacting. You start owning yourself."
"Thank you for this lovely connection and celebrating International Coaching Week together."
Thank you to Nina Simonds, Sam House, Joni Mar, and Marjoleine Byrne for leading two sessions that were honest, grounded, and worth every minute.

You can sense it. Something in you is ready for change.
Maybe it’s clarity you’re craving, or the feeling that your work should mean more than it does right now.
That quiet restlessness isn’t a sign that you’re lost. It’s an invitation to listen more closely.
In the Co-Active Foundations course, that’s where we begin. You’ll explore what’s stirring beneath the surface and practice having the kinds of conversations that bring your next direction into focus.
Through experiential learning and meaningful connection, you’ll uncover the confidence and clarity already within you.
This is your space to pause, reflect, and begin again with purpose.

He traveled the world as an executive. He made great money. He had the life others envied.
But deep down, Mark Leruste felt empty.
"I woke up one day and realized that my life had no direction," he said. Behind the corporate media job, the meetings with “movers and shakers,” and countless Instagram-worthy moments looking over a picture-perfect beach, all Mark really had was the slow erosion of self.
But as the fabrications of self receded from Mark’s identity, it revealed a small, forgotten gem, a glimmer of self-awareness that hinted at something better for him. Something within himself that was of more value than his title, his role, or the revenue he made “selling overpriced advertising to people who didn’t actually need it.” He just needed help excavating his true self to connect with it.
So, he quit. All of it.
He left the job.
He ended a relationship.
He moved back to France.
And he found a landing pad in France with his parents, six years after having moved out. For Mark, connecting with his true self required an all-hands-on-deck, no-looking-back approach.
At home, his mother introduced him to a family friend, Roya Ferdows, who was a Co-Active coach.
And it was in that space of self-exploration, transition, and imagination that Mark encountered Co-Active coaching in real time. He learned firsthand that coaching had little to do with pep talks and pats on the back. He saw what a Co-Active coach was capable of: helping him confidently connect with who he was, and the future he wanted.
"Through coaching, I was able to explore my own values and what actually really mattered to me," he said. "That enabled me to figure out actually what the hell I want to do with my life."
Everyone Mark met through Co-Active brought the same genuine passion for the work. It didn't take long to see that what enables real connection is belief, not performance.
On Co-Active’s pathway, he learned how he could be honest with himself in a way he hadn't been in years. He wasn’t broken. He didn’t need to be fixed. He could be himself, his full self, now. And he wanted to be a part of helping others encounter that, too.
Today, Mark lives outside of Paris, running his own leadership communication coaching consultancy, wrote an award-winning book, Glow in the Dark, is a guest lecturer at INSEAD and previously served as a Co-Active Training Institute faculty member. He’s exchanged the picture-perfect beach with real conversations with others, carrying forward a clearer sense of who he is and how he wants to show up, not only as a coach, but as a dad, a husband, and a human.
"My advice to anybody thinking about Co-Active is to speak to an adviser," he said. "Have a conversation, and then ask to speak to a graduate. Really see what others think."
You might just find what Mark found: your true self.

International Coaching Week is, at its core, about connection. The kind that forms when people come together around a shared commitment to human growth and possibility.
The Co-Active community has been building those connections since the days of leaving messages on someone’s answering machine to online course learning.
Today we want to hear about what you've built together.
Tag someone you met through Co-Active training: a business partner, a podcast co-host, a collaborator, a community group that grew out of a cohort, or someone who became something more.
Tell us: what have you gone on to co-create?
This community's story is bigger than any one of us. We want to hear about it in the comments!

One of the things International Coaching Week makes visible is the sheer range of places coaching shows up. And it’s pretty much everywhere: classrooms, boardrooms, community organizations, clinical settings, creative studios, and everywhere in between.
Not every Co-Active graduate became a full-time coach. Many of you took what you learned and brought it somewhere else entirely—and the impact has been just as real.
Let’s celebrate that today.
If you use your Co-Active training outside of a formal coaching relationship—in your leadership, your organization, your community, your family—tell us about it.
How has it changed the way you show up?
What have you been able to create that you couldn't have without it?
Chances are, sharing your experience will help someone else know they can make an impact where they are, too.
