Embrace Yoga is a yoga and wellness studio. We offer yoga classes (livestream & in person), private instruction, retreats, wellness lectures and workshops.
In our boutique we have clothing, educational aides and yoga training props for sale. Our teachers offer a range of classes for all levels of Hatha, Yin, Iyengar, Anusara, Kundalini and Vinyasa Yoga, as well as specializing in mom + baby and private classes. Monday Mantra ... I am my breath, I am tranquil, I am calm.
Tranquility..defined. "the quality or state of being tranquil; calm". How can we reach a calm and tranquil space? Being in control of ourselves even when surrounded by chaos?
You do have the power to calm your mind. Mindfulness is reachable and takes practice. With breathing techniques you can reach a new plateau. Reaching a place of tranquility can take effort but nurturing pranayama practices can increase your chances to get to a calm space. On and off the mat.
You can start with simple breathing techniques. Pranayama. One of my favorites is right and left nostril breathing. Left nostril breathing stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system.
For an immediate calming effect you can do this technique by breathing in & out of the left nostril only. This is associated with Apana, the cleansing energy. Known as the moon energy cooling and receptive. It is used for calming, empathy and sensitivity
