Tonglen is a transformational Buddhist meditation that awakens compassion. In the practice of tonglen, we take in suffering and send out goodness, well-being, and health. The purpose is not to magically cure people of what ails them; it’s about shifting our perspective.

The Daily Practice of Self-Kindness 07/10/2026

It is important to take care of ourselves. There are two practical daily actions necessary as the basic foundation of our spiritual lives: eating and sleeping well. These are acts of care and gentleness that tune us into our true nature. By contemplating the body as sacred, we remember our kindness to our body and mind as an indispensable facet of daily practice.
