You can’t fix a problem with the same mindset that created it. Healing and growth start when we choose to look at our professional and personal patterns differently.

High-pressure environments often lead to a state of chronic burnout where your mind simply won't shut off at 2 AM. Taking a proactive step for your mental wellness isn't a sign of struggle—it's an investment in your resilience and leadership.

The Community Institute currently has immediate, affordable openings for sliding-scale weekly therapy. Our clinicians provide a confidential, supportive sounding board to help you untangle stress and successfully navigate life's transitions.

Why Success Is Overrated 05/21/2026

Hedonic adaptation refers to our mind’s natural tendency to return to a stable level of happiness despite major positive or negative life events. As a result, success fades fast. The strongest predictors of long term happiness are a sense of purpose, identity, and deep relationships.

How Childhood Trauma Damages Self-Worth and How to Heal It 05/13/2026

Growing up without love, support, or safety can negatively impact self worth. Self worth is the belief that you have value and are worthy of love and belonging. Children with parents who were absent, inattentive, inconsistent, or harsh may come to believe that their needs don’t matter, and that they don’t deserve to be cared for and loved. Strategies such as self care, setting boundaries, and asking for what you need can help increase self worth.

To schedule an appointment with a therapist, contact the Community Institute for Psychotherapy at 415-459-5999 x102.
