Ethereal folk singer songwriter weaving heart songs in Northern CA. Where legato, melodic, heartfelt singing and raw, ethereal songwriting meet.

Miranda has sought to find her own unique voice and style from the tradition of songstresses such as Joni Mitchell, Vashti Bunyan, Regina Spektor, Feist, and Anais Mitchell. Like the bards of old, she weaves the stories and musings of her own life as well as the inspiration in the world around her. Songs that reflect on motherhood, broken hearts, beauty and injustice, Miranda’s recordings are drea

‘Shenadune’ is out today! I feel excited and relieved, as if I’ve been holding a secret and now I get to share it with everyone.

This is my first "solo" project, but turns out I have had a huge, talented, generous, supportive team of people backing me up!

Thank you to my angel team of musicians who added their special magic sauce to these songs. Epic, lush, orchestral vibes thanks to Cassidy Moore, Michael Fecskes, Anton Patzner, Lewis Patzner, Nate Salman, Luke Bace, and Matt Schory.

Thank you to Luke for also being the perfect personality to help me feel comfortable and creative, with the expertise and skill to make these songs sound their best and come to life!

Thank you to School of Song and the instructors for giving me the push, the inspiration, and the container to write so many songs. Eleven of these songs were written or completed thanks to classes led by Luke Temple, Courtney Marie Andrews, Robin Pecknold, and Eric D Johnson.

Thank you to musician friends who are walking this path ahead and next to me for your support, encouragement, mentoring, and inspiration. Thank you especially to Claire Wellin for help cracking the code on the sequencing puzzle.

Thank you Bijan for the finishing touches and being so easy to work with.

Thank you David Radzihovsky for finding my best angles, and Loulou Androlia for making the album look beautiful and reflect the music so magically.

Thank you to the crowdfunding backers who believed in this and boosted me over the finish line. Thank you for making it sustainable for a single mom to self release a whole album.

Thank you to Eli for giving me so much inspiration, loving my songs, making my heart too big, and repping me to kind strangers - “My mom is putting her music on Spotify!”

I’m so glad I finally get to share this music with you all. I hope it can help you unwind, cry, dance, relax, heal, sing or hum along.

'Dots & Dashes'
The first single off my upcoming album is out now!

There is so much I could share about what brought me to the moment when this song was written. An entire saga of challenges and injustices, outside influences with great impact on my parenting experience. But, in truth, I’m still not sure if I can safely share these things publicly. Maybe one day… Till then, this poetry will do.

I wrote this song for my son a few years ago. A comfort blanket of a song to wrap ourselves in. May it bring some warmth and hope to others.

I am so deeply touched by the support I received for my album with my Kickstarter. It’s still sinking in that I met and passed my goal. My heart has been so warmed and tears brought to my eyes many times by the generosity, attention, goodwill, and messages of support. Being seen for the artist part of myself feels nourishing beyond most things.

It is such a challenge to be a music artist in today’s world. But truly, it has always been this way - Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart did not have a predictable income but depended on the patronage of dukes and kings to commission works and literally house them and their families. How blessed we are that those musicians were supported then, so they could create and we can know and love their music still today.

Thank you for being a patron of the arts and for me specifically. Thank you for being my kings and dukes. Thank you for believing in my project and being excited for me. Thank you for making my solo music debut truly a team experience.

Friends! YOU DID IT! I met and have passed my goal! Honestly, I’m over here trying to process the amazing, sweet, unexpected generosity and support I’m feeling right now. Somewhat speechless tbh. 🙏🙏🙏

If you did want to be a part of it still, there are 3 days left! Maybe I’ll get to my stretch goal and can make vinyl. Am I even ready to be that cool?? 🪩

Meanwhile, I’ll be over here floating on this sunbeam to my own theme music and sending giggles, air kisses, love and gratitude to you. Thank you from the top and bottom of my heart. 🌞

Ten days left to reach my goal! Can you help me finish my album?

This song is so near to my heart. Here’s a glimpse of the moment I wrote it last summer. An assignment from Eric D Johnson Fruit Bats in a School of Song session that allowed me to write about a moment in my life that has otherwise been too big, tender, and scary. With this song I found some recognition of that moment thru a zoomed out perspective, giving me a context of how universal my personal experience is/was. It became not about me - which is why I was able to finally write about it. AND in the writing and the singing, find deeper healer and compassion for my young hurt and scared self. I am so grateful for the healing that exists within songwriting.

I recorded it this fall and today I got to listen to the first mix of it. I am so happy with it and grateful to be making this album. It is my humble hope that perhaps a few other humans may also find healing and comfort when they listen to it.

Ten days left to help me fund this album. I’m getting close! To learn more, check the link in comment section. Can you share my kcksrtr or pledge to help me reach my goal?

Thank you for listening and reading if you made it this far. Thank you for your patience and support while I blast about this for the next 10 days.
