New goat mom here! Give me all the advice!

I have decided to let my naked neck/brahma project go as I want to focus on egg color rather than anything else. Up for discussion:

2 naked neck hens (2 years old) $20 each
1 white brahma rooster (1 year old) $15
4 naked neck chicks about two weeks old $5 each
Olive egger chicks 2nd gen $6 each
Easter egger (3) and mix pen chicks (5) are $5 each

Open to reasonable offers as I need to make space.

I will also have the sweetest call drake duck up for grabs as I have decided to not breed any call ducks. I am going to just focus on my Sebastopol geese and saxony ducks. $30

*photos of hens are before breeding season- they are missing some back feathers at this time.*

NEW EGG ALERT!!!! 🥚✨

One of my girls from the mixed pen laid the CUTEST little speckled egg! 😍 This one was definitely a fairy egg, so we won’t be able to hatch it, but I’m already so excited to see what her future eggs look like! 🤎🐔

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas out there whether you’re raising babies, fur babies, feathered babies, or all of the above! I hope your day is filled with love, rest, and lots of happiness.

Chicken keeping doesn’t have to be complicated or overly expensive!

I call this my “Halfway Chicken House” 😂 it’s where all of my chicks go once they no longer need heat, but aren’t quite ready to join the adult flock yet.

I found these playpens on Marketplace for just $20 each, and they’ve worked wonderfully. I layer the bottom with pine shavings and pine bark nuggets. Not only does it help keep everything smelling fresh, but the bark nuggets also absorb a lot of moisture.

I usually clean them once a week, sometimes more depending on how quickly they get dirty.

And if you’re still looking for chicks, I have plenty available with more hatching every day! 🥚🐣

Guess what is hatching?!!!!

Lilac poults!! I am so excited for these babies.

I will have a very limited amount of them available later in the season.
