Desert Bandits Racing

Race report from the VORRA -Valley Off Road Racing Association Fallon 250. We started the race in the rain and as the day progressed it turned into white out blizzard conditions in certain sections of the track. We managed to muscle through the freezing cold and finish the race. The car was solid and ran great. We finished 3rd in the Pro Stock N/A class and 23 out of 41 cars. Thanks to Jeff Watkins for navigating through the snow when we couldn’t see from our visors freezing up. Thanks to Shannon Benson for prepping the car, keeping it running, and keeping the pit moving. Thanks to Sandro Sonny Brunido for helping us pit and keeping us on the track. Last but not least thank you Jennifer Balesteri for making sure this team was all taken care of and fed!

RACE REPORT FROM ROUND 1 at DP4 Racing: Well all weekends must come to an end. We had a great day of racing yesterday. Anthony Balesteri and Jeff Watkins driving in the BALESTERI CONSTRUCTION, INC. car did great. Started 87th out of 91 cars and 8th out of 12 cars in class. We managed to work our way from 87th to 43rd overall and 3rd in class after lap 3. We pulled in for a pit stop and the inner CV boot was torn and axle had lost bearings. At that point we made the decision to stop the car before we did any critical damage. At the end of the day we finished 65th overall and 7th in class. Thanks to Evan at Schmidty Racing Suspension for the last minute tuning on the suspension.
