Upgraded your guinea pigs from a small pet-store cage to a larger C&C setup?

The next question is: what do you do with the old cage?

While it may no longer be suitable for permanent housing, it can still be one of the most useful pieces of guinea pig equipment you own.

We’ve used spare cages for quarantine, recovery after veterinary treatment, health monitoring, deep cleaning days, organised storage, and even growing fresh grazing grass.

Sometimes the equipment you’ve outgrown becomes the equipment you’re most grateful you kept.

Luna says she likes her apples fresh and first. Everyone else can wait.

Meet Maple and T***s!
Maple is about 3 years old and loves her veggies. She isn’t super picky but her favorites are cilantro and fresh cucumbers from the garden. She’s very vocal and social compared to t***s but loves her sister dearly.

T***s is 3.5 years old. When her previous owner got her she had been alone because she was attacked by other guineas in the petsmart. She’s still very shy but loves to be held in short periods. She loves back scratches but isn’t afraid to tell you when to stop. She also loves cilantro but is also a fan of strawberries.

They are both very ticklish. Maple gives kisses. They would be great in a home with experienced hands.

They came in on May 11th and have gotten their health check and treatment plan started. They will be available soon. If interested in adopting them please send me a message.
