Optimism is the ability to view situations and events in a positive light, even when things are not perfect.

Think about what it is like to be around someone that is always talking about the cold weather, the rain, or the bad experience they had at a restaurant. This pessimistic attitude is a drain on everyone around them.

At RHP, we are always looking for ways to improve health, and this is one of the simplest things you can start working on today:

Strive for optimism in your life. View the glass as half full instead of half empty.

Fill your life and the people around you with optimism.

Research has shown the relationships between mindset and health. Optimism has been linked to lower risks of conditions like heart disease, stroke, depression and even some forms of cancer.

That may not seem like a huge factor on its own, but when you combine optimism with good nutrition, exercise, sleep, and healthy habits, it all adds up.

And honestly, I've never heard anyone say, “I hate hanging around with Uno, he is always focusing on the positive things in life.”

Being optimistic can help to keep you healthy and when you demonstrate optimism, others around you will follow. Optimism can be contagious.

There will always be negative events in life, but one of the greatest freedoms is choosing how we respond to them.

At some point as we age, a lot of people start noticing the “backslide.”

Energy drops. Strength starts fading. Joints hurt more. Weight gets harder to manage. Things that used to feel easy suddenly don't.

And for many people, the biggest fear is ending up limited by their health later in life.

At Resilient Human Performance, our focus is simple:

We train you to function better in your everyday life.

Whether you used to be in great shape and want to get back to it, or you’re finally ready to see what your body is capable of, we’ll help you train in a safe, sustainable way that actually fits your life.

Our members come to us to:

-Get stronger
-Tone up
-Reduce body fat
-Improve endurance
-Keep up with their kids and family
-Prevent the decline that often comes with aging

This isn't about extreme workouts or pushing your body to the limit.

It’s about building a stronger body that lets you enjoy life longer.

At Resilient Human Performance, we focus on one simple thing:

Building strength and improving movement for the life you want to live.

That means training in a way that actually carries over outside of the gym, so you can move better, feel better, and do more of what matters to you.

Whether your goal is getting stronger, moving without pain, or getting back into a routine, we meet you where you are and help you build from there.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started, this is your sign.

Send us a message or click the link in our bio to book a free consultation. We’ll talk through your goals and see if it’s a good fit. No pressure.

Don't just take our word for it:

“RHP is hands down one of the best training environments around. Their approach to personal training is intentional, individualized, and rooted in long-term results, not quick fixes.”
-Michiel

“The best experience I have ever had at a gym. Supportive coaches, customized workouts, and an encouraging environment.”

Last week I was talking to one of our members at RHP, and she described a situation where she was walking out to her trash can and fell in her gravel driveway.

She wasn’t exactly sure what happened and was a little perplexed about how she could have prevented it.

The short answer? As we age, we get stiffer.

This stiffness comes from connective tissue in our joints and muscles, and over time it can limit mobility. When the hips, knees, or ankles get stiff, it becomes harder to move efficiently while walking.

The good news is there’s a fix for that.

One of the biggest offenders is tight and weak hips.

To not fall you need to be able to rotate one side of your pelvis forward as the other swings back in-order to prevent a fall.

Take a look at the walking gait cycle graphic…

In the first two stages, the green side of the pelvis needs to be strong and stable enough to hold its position, while the opposite side needs to be flexible enough to elevate so the red leg can lift and swing through.

When those two sides can’t work independently, that’s when trips and falls happen.

The solution?

Keep your hips strong, mobile, and moving the way they’re supposed to.

That’s exactly why we focus so much on mobility and strength work at RHP, because moving better means living better.

Message us “MOVE BETTER” and we will send you a 3 step plan with video instructions on how to help with this issue!

Is your young athlete ready to build speed, strength, and confidence this summer?

We are now enrolling new members into our 10-13 year old athletic development program!

This program is designed to help young athletes build confidence, improve performance, and stay injury-free as they grow.

Here’s what we focus on:
-Body coordination & movement skills
-Strength & power development
-Speed & Endurance
-Overall fitness & athletic confidence

This is also the perfect stepping stone into our higher level athletic training programs and helps set young athletes up for long-term success.

We’ve already seen kids in this program get faster, stronger, and more confident in their sport. We’d love for your child to experience the same.

Here’s what one parent had to say about the program:
“My son started training at Resilient Human Performance to improve his overall athleticism, hoping it would carry over to baseball and the results have been incredible. I’ve watched him make significant physical improvements, and even noticed a clear difference in his swing.”
-Joey
