Here is a workshop I’m offering at Chemeketa Cellars on April 18th from 1-4 pm. It’s a fun still life painting experience and requires no experience. If you or someone you know might be interested, see the link for more information.

I’ll be setting up an arrangement of fresh flowers and walking you through step by step to paint from life. It’s a fun and relaxing, hands-on way to learn some acrylic painting skills, while enjoying the ambiance of the vineyard.

Three plein air paintings, all acrylic on canvas 11x14, that I recently finished up in my studio. Still need to frame them.

These three paintings are in the annual “Something Red” exhibit at the Elsinore Gallery 444, in downtown Salem, through the month of December. See at 444 Ferry St., along with many other wonderful works of art.

I’m one of the featured artists for the month of August 2025, and as an AiA gallery cooperative member, I voluntarily do the graphics for our promotional materials. Flyers, social media ads, magazine ads, and signage. Each month we have a new show and featured artists so it keeps me busy.

I got a message from someone (FB?) saying I have violated trademark rights. I have no idea what they are referring to. I’ve never intentionally or otherwise used a trademark for anything that I didn’t design myself, that I’m aware of. They’re saying my page will be deleted. If so, so be it. I’m retired from my graphic design business now anyway. But just want to say thanks for looking at my work over the years. It’s been fun sharing while it lasted. 👋🏼

Using the logo I designed for my son and daughter-in-law, Belinda, who makes beautiful homemade soaps and lotions, I designed business cards, labels and a banner for her art fair and holiday booths. My son, Gabe and Belinda have a farm they’ve called Black Sheep Gardens.

A while back I designed a logo for my son and his wife to use on signage for their farm and labels for their home made soaps, various canned goods and pepper sauces. My grandson - now 21 - used it on some mugs as a gift. Good use for the logo!
