I have a 5 year old lab mix named Carly. She's been in my family for four years. She has all of her vaccinations and is in good health. She was spayed in 2022 when she was about 12-16 months old. Her vet is the Animal Care Center on south Commercial. I have all vaccination records, office visits, etc. I walk her everyday for 30 minutes and I play fetch with her 2-3 times per day. She is in great health. She comes with multiple beds, toys, leashes, collars, food, dishes, everything.

I am a single dad with my daughters living with me 50% of the time. My job is in forestry and on the weeks I don't have my daughters I frequently travel, especially in the summer to fight wildfires. I frequently have to find friends to watch Carly or board her at Pet Village. It is getting to be too much. I I thought I could manage it all - the kids and their school and activities, my job, my house, and my own health and wellness - but I am really struggling to keep it all together. I mistakenly thought I would have a girlfriend or partner by now to help me manage some things. But that didn't happen and I have to adjust.

It is time to find her a new home. My daughters love Carly to pieces and this is going to really upset them. I have been praying for a solution. It would be so wonderful for my kids to see that she is going to another loving home, maybe even saying hi to her once in a while.

She has a nice life here and she's a good dog. But it is clear that something needs to be done. I am stretched too thin. I am a big dog lover and this breaks my heart to know I can't manage having Carly.

Exciting news! Chiquita & Blanca started a two week trial today over at the coast!! We're so excited for them and their new family. We want to thank Angie, Babette and Nataly for making the four hour drive round trip today. It takes a village!

This sweet 7 month old puppy is looking for a forever home. She's current on vaccines. She's potty pad trained. Her current family loves her, but her puppy energy is to much for them. We want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us along with Operation DOG yesterday. It was a fun event and a huge success! We couldn't do it without our village. We appreciate you! A special shout out to Cindy, Alice, Heather, Sam, Sherry, Babette, Michelle, Amanda, Vicky, Shirley, Matt, Toshia and Nikki. Our event would not have been as successful as it was without you volunteering your time to support our rescues.

Today from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. come meet some of our adoptable dogs. They will be hanging out with the Operation DOG outreach team at Pet Etc in West Salem.

Please keep your eyes out for Zuzu, a Little Critters alum with a Little Critters tag. She escaped around 5pm today near Pringle Elementary in South Salem. Thank you for helping us bring her back home!

Mark your calendars this Saturday is Operation DOG and Little Critters Rescue Bingo Bash! The Hickory Spoon will be hosting us with a full menu and cold beverage. Come early and grab a bite to eat. We'll have $$Cash$$ prizes for bingo winners. They'll be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes drawing. We'll also have adoptable dogs at the event!! Any questions let us know.

This sweet Pomchi is approximately 2 years old. She is spayed and current on vaccines. She gets along with other small dogs. She is not a fan of cats. She has been working on mastering her potty training skills. Her current owner has some health issues and they are no longer able to care for her.
