COG is a group - CYCLING'S OTHER GUYS The group is open to any cyclist or triathlete, who is not a licensed or categorized competitor.
COG is a group of CYCLING'S OTHER GUYS, men and women, of all ages, based in North Central Louisiana, who ride bikes for the joy of riding, to keep in good shape and to meet fellow cyclists socially, non-competitively and for the camaraderie we have in a common interest. The rides we organize in beautiful Louisiana countryside, are easy going rides of about 20 to 25 miles, with emphasis on making new acquaintances and exploring new routes.
OK guys! Looks like the plan to have a Ruston Monday Night Ride was not a good idea and best to scrap it. I will be away some time June and when it gets really hot, much prefer early morning rides. My apologies - came up with the idea on spur of the moment without thinking it through properly!

With summer finally here come May, we are starting a Monday Night Ride next week, May 3rd, leaving at 6:00 pm from Argent Pavilion at Tech. The ride will be about 15 miles at easy going pace, with options to do a shorter or longer ride. We hope to encourage new people to our group, COG (Cycling's Other Guys) and families.
Please be sure to wear a helmet as this is the law when riding on public roads.

Big Dam Bridge done! A great ride and lots of fun! We will be back!
Looking good for Saturday morning June 8th ride, leaving from Any Time Fitness near the truck stop by Exit 103 off Interstate. The route will go south before returning north on Hwy 151 at West Ouachita High School, back through Calhoun. Pace will be comfortable, regrouping along the way. Distance 25 miles. Route attached. Hope a number of friends from Calhoun and Monroe will join our Ruston Group!
June 8th possibility Route from MapMyRide
Weather permitting there will be a few of us riding from Life Church Saturday morning. Meet at 8:30 and ready to ride at 8:45, going south on Riser Road, possibly with group coming from The Bridge.
Join us if you can. We will do 20-25 miles at moderate pace, no drop with regrouping along the route!
Looking good for MedCamps Madness on Saturday, so get Registered! 16, 25, 33 and 50 mile options!
Weather permitting, we plan to ride the MedCamps Madness 25 mile route on Saturday morning. Gina Jones’ Group will leave from The Bridge at 9:00 and meet up with COG group at Historic Fire Station for 9:15 departure. Going to be breezy but hopefully thunderstorms will wait until the afternoon! Come join the ride on Saturday!

Good news y’all - David Boles back in business at House of Cycles in West Monroe! Took my bike to him this morning for gear cable and index shifting repair and service! So you know where to go now for service, parts and new bikes! Cannondale dealership and planning on also having Trek!
