I'm ambivalent about Robert Eggers' Nosferatu. While cinematically it's a beautifully crafted film - I awaited its digital release - the narrative didn't captivate me, offering the same story with new actors, scenery, and minor plot changes. One hour in, boredom set in as I anticipated something remarkable. Four Oscar nominations I don't see it. The acting wasn't the issue; performances were great, but the film lacked substance. I'm unable to identify what that substance is. Lol
What do you guys think about this film?

The Hype is real folk's, Terrifier 3 is absolutely insane, Main stream viewers weren't ready for the sheer amount of grotesque and brutal kills.
I went last night to watch the film, I never go and see films on opening night, I give it time to play in theaters.
For me I was surprised at the amount of female viewers, the theater wasn't full, maybe 50 people in all.
Throughout the film you see a mix of gore and comedy, no character was safe from the brutality of Art The Clown.
It had a few jump scares, but they didn't seem set-up to be a jump scare, it felt like a natural response to a situation, in my opinion those are the best.
The young ladies in the audience laughed at Art The Clowns kills and his overall mannerisms,
I found myself laughing with them.
I was surprised that most of the male audience didn't seem to care much about what was going on, no real response to anything.
It felt like this particular audience group had way more female interaction, it was as if the woman dragged their boyfriends to come see this movie, instead of the other way around.
I think the movie was great, my favorite out of the 3, a part 4 will certainly come next, the film ends not hinting at a part 4 but demanding one.
I've seen thousands of gory films, so not much shocks me, but I can absolutely say that this film has some of the best practical effects and Make-up I have ever seen, and I am a big Tom Sivini Fan seeing him make a cameo in the film was absolutely amazing.
Overall, I would recommend this film, but only if you have a strong stomach and love these types of films.
For the first time in a long time, you actually get what you pay for when you see it in theaters.
Horror Addict Fanatics - if you're tired of all those kissy face films, No worries you're not going to get any of that in Terrifier 3.
