Rowlett Transformation Center
Rowlett Transformation Center represents a fundamental shift in the way personal training and fitness is being approached.
For way too long, the weight loss and fitness industry has been dominated by overcrowded "big-box" gyms and BS quick-fix diet centers with just one goal in mind...to debit your account every month knowing you won't attend, hoping you won't notice the monthly draw. Nowhere in their business plan will you find things like:
Scientifically-proven exercise programs
Cutting-edge nutrition plans
Honest
One exercise that everyone over 40 should be doing... rows
Every workout row
Upper-body day... row
Lower-body day... row
Cardio day... row
For every pressing exercise you do, do TWO row exercises
Mom, 40's, business owner... dropped 35lbs

(proud of you lady)
Weight loss after 40 isn’t always harder because your metabolism crashed.
A lot of times, life just changed.
You sit more.
You move less.
You work longer hours.
You eat for energy, stress, or boredom.
Then weight loss feels impossible.
The fix isn’t complicated:
Move more on purpose.
A simple rule:
For every hour you sit, aim for 10 minutes of movement.
Walk, lift, stretch, get outside... just move.
Most people over 40 think they need more flexibility.
What they actually need is more MOBILITY
Flexibility is getting into a position.
Mobility is being strong enough to control it.
That difference matters... especially as you get older
Better mobility means better movement, better recovery, and fewer injuries.
If you're over 40 and your balance sucks, your workouts probably need more single-leg work.
Everybody should know how to squat.
But not everybody should be doing the same squat.
One of the biggest things we see as people get older is strength differences from one side to the other. One leg gets weaker. Balance gets worse. Small aches and pains start showing up.
That's where exercises like split squats, lunges, and step-ups come in.
They force the smaller muscles to do their job.
They improve balance and more
And they build the kind of strength that actually carries over to real life.
Most people want stronger legs.
What they actually need is better control of the legs they already have.
Start there and everything else gets better.

One of the biggest mistakes people over 40 make with cardio is choosing exercises that beat them up faster than they build them up.
HIIT can be a great tool for fat loss, but that doesn't mean you need to spend your workouts running, jumping, and pounding your joints.
A bike, rower, ski erg, sled pushes, farmer's carries, battle ropes, and kettlebell swings can all elevate your heart rate while being much friendlier on the body.
The goal isn't to get destroyed.
The goal is to get better.
Train hard enough to see results, but smart enough to keep doing it for years.
If your hormones are making fat loss harder, don't assume you're out of options.
Finding the right doctor... someone who understands both health and fitness can make a huge difference in helping you feel and perform your best.
And if that's not the route you choose, that's okay too!
Just remember: harder doesn't mean impossible.
Even with less-than-optimal hormones, fat loss is still possible. It may take longer than you'd like, but progress is still progress.
Keep showing up. Keep doing the work.
Stressed out?
Still go to the gym
Focus on simplier movements
Lighten the weight
Longer rest
The goal is to feel better than when you walked in
Hormones matter.
Calories matter.
The problem is most people are told it has to be one or the other.
If your hormones are out of whack, fat loss can absolutely become harder. You may be hungrier, more tired, recover slower, and feel like you're doing everything right with nothing to show for it.
But harder doesn't mean impossible.
The key is understanding that your body today may not need the same things it needed 10 or 20 years ago.
Stop comparing yourself to who you used to be.
Learn what your body needs now and build your plan from there.
Harder ≠Impossible.
