The Rotterdam Police Department will participate in the “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign from May 18, 2026 through May 31, 2026. Officers will be actively promoting seat belt safety and enforcing New York State seat belt laws to help keep our community safe. Buckle Up New York — every trip, every time.

Over 90% of child safety seats are not used properly, putting infants, toddlers and small children at risk of being seriously injured or killed in a traffic crash. Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be on site to check child safety seats, correct errors and instruct parents and caregivers how to use and install their child safety seats correctly. There is no fee for this service.
