APEX Design Build

Paint is going up at a 12,200 sq ft children's surgery center in Ohio! Three ORs designed with kids and their families in mind. We'll share more as it comes together.

Before we break ground, our design team hands the project off to our construction team: same company, same table. Plans, finishes, and materials get reviewed together, so nothing gets lost between Design and Construct.

That's integrated project delivery.

This building used to be a bank.

Our fifth project with Cameo Dental Specialists is complete! We transformed a 5,000 SF former bank in LaGrange into a multi-specialty dental office, bringing oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics together under one roof. Patients can now see multiple specialists without ever leaving the practice.

Converting an existing building comes with its own set of challenges, from working within the original structure to meeting today's clinical and life-safety codes. The result is a space that keeps the building's character while giving Cameo room to grow.

Thank you to Cameo Dental Specialists for trusting us again. Five projects in, it's still a pleasure.

This week, our Business Development Manager Shea Johnson is at the Southwest Veterinary Symposium in San Antonio, TX connecting with veterinary practice owners and industry partners.

The best projects always start with a good conversation. If you're in town, come find Shea and say hello.

Behind every finished space is a process that got it there.

Family Dental Care Park Ridge came together through close collaboration at every phase — from the initial vision, through design and material selection, to final construction. Every decision was made with Dr. Matthew Demas's practice and his patients in mind.

The result: a 4,800-sq-ft space that reflects exactly what he set out to build, delivered on time and on budget.

Veterinary spaces have to work as hard as the people (and animals) inside them — welcoming for pet owners, efficient for staff, and built to handle the realities of daily animal care.

The details matter: flow between reception and exam rooms, materials that hold up, finishes that still feel warm.

Our team traded desks for the grass last week at our Annual Summer Picnic! Great food, great company, and a well-earned afternoon out of the office together. Grateful for the people who make Apex feel like family.

Patients may not notice the details in a room like this. Staff rely on them every day.

Outlet placement, med gas lines, monitor mounts, casework — all coordinated around how the clinical team actually works in the space, not just how it looks.

That's the kind of planning that happens when architecture, design, and construction are handled by one team from the start, rather than passed between separate firms.
