Most athletes can enter a cut. That’s not the separator.
The separator is what happens next.
Great athletes don’t drift and hope. They:
Lower their hips to stay athletic
Load the outside leg so they can brake on purpose
Explode out clean so they win the next 2 steps
At PFP, we coach both the entry and the exit because change of direction is really deceleration plus re-acceleration.

We mic'd up Coach Joe for squat day — and this is exactly why coaching matters. 🎙️🔥
Some of our members are loading up the barbell back squat — building serious lower body strength under the bar. Others? Coach Joe regressed them to a goblet squat — and that's not a step backward. That's smart coaching.
Here's the thing most people get wrong about exercise progressions and regressions. The goblet squat isn't the "easy version" — it's the right version for that person on that day. It reinforces a tall chest, builds the squat pattern, and lets the athlete own the movement before loading it on their back. Master it, and the barbell back squat becomes the natural next step.
