📢 Leadership Announcement
Rock Hill Schools is excited to welcome Kevin Madden, CPA, as our new Chief Financial Officer - Starting March 3rd!

With more than 20 years of experience in public finance, governmental accounting, and organizational leadership, Madden will serve on the Superintendent’s Cabinet, providing strategic financial leadership that supports student success and the district’s long-term sustainability.

Madden currently serves York County, S.C. as Assistant County Manager, Treasurer, and CFO, overseeing financial and operational functions for a fast-growing county of nearly 300,000 residents and managing an annual budget of approximately $450 million.

Earlier in his career, Madden was an audit partner with Greene Finney Cauley, LLP, working closely with school districts and local governments across South Carolina, giving him deep insight into school finance, transparency, and accountability.

Madden holds a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina.

As CFO, he brings a collaborative, student-centered approach, focused on aligning resources with educational priorities and supporting educators, staff, and students. Please help us welcome Kevin Madden to the Rock Hill Schools Family!

Our priority is keeping everyone safe. Due to ongoing concerns on secondary roads and in shaded areas, Rock Hill Schools will continue eLearning on Tuesday, January 27.

While we know main roads have been improving, temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until early afternoon Tuesday. That means areas that have melted will likely refreeze overnight, creating slick and unsafe travel conditions in parts of our community.

We’ve been in communication with York County Emergency Management, and district teams have been assessing road conditions firsthand. We know this news isn’t ideal, but we want to be especially cautious when it comes to bus transportation and the safety of our student drivers, families and staff.

Students should follow their eLearning plan, and more information went home to families via email. Thank you for your understanding and support, and please stay safe.
