During a recent two-day training and development session in Corning, NY, our Training + Development team came together to reflect on individual purpose, align on a shared department mission, and celebrate the meaningful progress we’ve made so far this year. From shaping onboarding initiatives to planning for the future, these conversations are helping us build a stronger, more intentional approach to supporting our employees.

Miguel’s recent five-star review is a wonderful example of what we strive for across all of our communities. This Pride Month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and honor the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels seen, respected, and at home. At Conifer, we believe that strong communities are built on inclusion, understanding, and the freedom for people to be their authentic selves.

This month, we’re excited to highlight Matt Weber, IT Systems Administrator.

Behind the scenes, our IT team plays a critical role in keeping Conifer running smoothly, and Matt is a key part of that effort. In his role, he helps monitor and maintain networks across our communities, ensuring everything operates efficiently and securely. From developing workflows that streamline everyday processes to managing system configurations for laptops, tablets, and other devices, Matt’s work supports teams across the entire organization.

Matt is a great example of growing with Conifer. Since joining Conifer in 2023 as an intern, Matt has quickly made a meaningful impact through his hard work, initiative, and willingness to take on new challenges. Since becoming a full-time employee in 2024, his contributions have helped strengthen our systems and improve how we operate day-to-day.

We are honored to receive this recognition and look forward to continuing to own, develop, and manage top-tier affordable housing to positively impact the communities we serve and help address the affordable housing crisis.

Affordable workforce housing ensures that the people who keep communities running can live where they work, reducing long commutes and turnover.

Studies show that housing affordability directly impacts workforce stability and local business growth. When workers have access to affordable homes, employers benefit from improved retention, and communities benefit from a more stable, reliable workforce.

This Memorial Day, we remember the heroes who gave everything for our freedom. Their courage and sacrifice will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
