Can you spot a favorite from just the sprayed edges?

These books prove that the story can start before you even open the cover! We had some fun testing our book knowledge by looking only at these beautiful sprayed edges.

Swipe to reveal the titles hiding behind the colors, patterns, and designs. How many did you recognize?

Stop by the ERL and find your next summer read. You might just discover a book that is beautiful inside and out!

Happy Pride Month!

At the ERL, we believe every reader deserves to see themselves reflected in books.

This month's display features children's, middle grade, young adult, and professional titles that celebrate LGBTQ+ identities, families, history, and experiences. These stories help foster understanding, empathy, and belonging while highlighting the diverse voices that enrich our communities.

Stop by throughout June to explore the collection, discover a new book, and celebrate the power of stories.

We pulled together a collection for Arab American Heritage Month that invites a closer look at stories, voices, and experiences across ages.

From picture books to middle-grade and beyond, this display highlights voices, cultures, and experiences that deserve a place in our everyday reading, not just this month.

One that keeps catching people’s attention is The Proudest Blue by Ibtihaj Muhammad. It follows two sisters on the first day, one of them wears her hijab to school, and what stands out is how it frames pride with the reality of navigating questions and stares. It’s a simple story, but it opens the door to conversations about identity, confidence, and support in a really accessible way.

You’re in the final stretch, and we know it’s a lot right now.

Stress Less Fest is happening in the ERL April 13–17. Stop in for puzzles, games, crafts, or just a few minutes to reset. You can add to our “recipe for success,” take a quick brain break, or just sit for a bit between classes.

No sign-up, no pressure. Come when you need it.

We’re cheering you on as you wrap up the semester.
