💜🐾FOSTER NEEDED🐾💜
This little 6 week old pittie girl just came to us today. Thanks to for picking her up and keeping her safe. This little girl got her first round vaccines today. She’s a little squeal machine. Poor love shouldn’t be away from her momma. She is eating on her own and is a spicy piglet. She does need a name… 💜 if you want to foster this girl minimum 4 week commitment. You know how to reach me. 🩷

So grateful for an incredible relationship with the Doctors and Staff at , when I got home last night, these were at my gate. Such incredibly thoughtful humans. They learned the news and sent flowers and condolences. So incredibly kind. I know who likely sent these or initiated this and I’m so appreciate of the thoughts for my pups and even for me.

🎉ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT🎉
CHACHI boy has been adopted. 💙
Hawk’s bestie has found his forever family. His family had to delay the pickup by a week due to some displaced family members having to stay with them, and them not wanting to overwhelm this big beautiful meathead boy.

Mason had been searching for awhile for the dog he wanted, and although his parents tried to show him other dogs, he only wanted CHACHI. Everybody thought our precious boy was a Labrador, but he in fact is not. This lovely boy is a Rottweiler/Mastiff mix and gonna be incredibly large. Stunning no less. He’s met his match with Mason, and he’s been making sure this boy is getting enough exercise to stimulate his mind. They are a local family and he’s spoiled rotten. Happy Tails Turkey! Can’t wait to see your big boy size very very soon.

I wasn’t ready to share this yet,

But many of you have reached out asking what happened to Zelda. 😭

Zelda wasn’t sick. 💟

Zelda was perfect. 🥰

Sunday morning, my family experienced a devastating tragedy. Zelda was killed during a dog attack involving another dog in our home. Her sister, Betty White, was also injured trying to save her sister and is currently recovering. 🥺😭

There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing Zelda, while also grieving another dog in the same day. My heart is shattered, and honestly, I am still trying to process how life changed so drastically in a matter of moments.

Right now, my focus is on helping Betty White heal and finding a way to navigate a grief I never imagined I would face.

I appreciate the kindness, prayers, and support so many of you have already shown. Please be patient with me as I work through this profound loss, of such a special dog.

There have been many questions about what happened to Zelda, Betty White, and Gypsy.

I have struggled to find the words because the truth is devastating, it’s surreal and it still very much feels like a god damn nightmare.

Due to the severity of what occurred, Gypsy was humanely euthanized.

In less than 24 hours, I lost my soul dog, watched another dog I adore suffer traumatic injuries, and said goodbye to a dog who was also part of my family, and who I also loved. 😭

I know some people will want details, but right now I am asking for grace and understanding. My heart is still trying to process the unimaginable. My house is quiet, it’s empty, the void is huge.

Please keep Betty White in your thoughts as she heals. My girl is suffering and is traumatized unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

Please remember Zelda for the joyful, digging girl she was, always getting caught but looking so sweet she never really got into trouble.

I’m just a girl whose heart got broken in three different directions on the same day. 💜

I don’t know how to navigate this. These are MY dogs.

Grateful for the distraction of the rescue dogs.

Comments are off: you can send me a private message if you feel called too, but I don’t need any help to blame myself. I am not okay. 😭

🩷🐾Welcome Greta🩷🐾
A week ago today this lovely lady made her way to the rescue. My dear friend Kathy called me, and asked for some help. This pups foster (who had bottle fed her from 10 days old) was having a surgery and wasn’t going to be able to keep her safely during the recovery. I thought the ask might be to foster/board her but we ultimately decided to do a rescue transfer. Miss Greta settled in pretty easily, so far nothing has caused her concern except the quad. When I fired it up, she took off, I walked around to see where she went and she was up hiding behind the tree 😭. I grabbed her leash and walked her back down. We immediately worked on desensitizing her to the quad. I’ll share the video of her now with the quad, she made leaps the same day. Desensitize your dogs friends, they can all learn new things. Greta is a 1 year old Mastiff mix, she’s as sweet as she looks, and she loves the other dogs, this girl is gonna get some updated vaccines this coming week, and then we will begin to learn more about this girl and get her ready for her forever family. She was born with an eye defect, (we think this makes her perfect) she then developed cherry eye, which was surgically repaired, she looks like she has a very unique eyelash. She’s a lowkey, puppy, big girl and is gonna make a fantastic family companion. We love you Greta 💜 She enjoyed her first pack walk, and always looks for friends to initiate play. Shes LOVELY 🩷
