We had a great time joining our friends at the 14th Annual Chief’s Luncheon, coordinated by the Riverside Police Foundation. It was so wonderful to learn more about the many impactful community programs sponsored by the Riverside Police Foundation, helping community members from at-promise youth to seniors in need of companionship.

Life as a mama entrepreneur 🫶🏽

This week, the littlest team member here at RevComm was knocked down with the flu and home from school ALL week. As a small business owner for almost ten years, we’ve learned that people like to focus on the glamorous side of entrepreneurship - flexible schedules, “no boss”, etc.

But this week reminded me that people don’t always see entrepreneurship in the raw, especially when you’re a parent. We don’t have PTO. We don’t clock out. Deadlines still need to be met while you’re also juggling taking temperatures and comforting your little one who feels miserable.

I snapped this picture while I was trying to comfort my sweet boy with a high fever. I had to cancel a meeting because he needed me, and I ended up sending emails from my phone on his bedroom floor once he fell asleep.

I share this as a reminder of something I continuously stress: show up as a human with your clients. Professional boundaries are important, but I’ve also found so much value in letting my clients into my personal world. At RevComm, we show up as experts in our work while also being proud parents. So when life hit this week, I found ways to pivot but still meet deadlines — and my clients understood. Thank you to each and every one of them for showing grace and understanding.

I promise you that it’s okay to let your multiple hats coexist and I truly am so grateful and privileged to have a career that allows me to empower nonprofits while still being there for my kiddo.

Yesterday our Chief Changemaker spent the morning with City of Pasadena employees discussing advancing grant writing focused on public funding. We dove deep into the current landscape and talked about strategies to implement in the midst of a volatile funding world. Participants put what they learned to work with various hands on activities and they are, without a doubt, GRANT READY! ✍🏼 special thanks to our friends at for this opportunity!

Thank you to our friends at PNC Inland Empire for the invite to attend the Alliance of Black Women Accountants FIFTH Annual Scholarship Luncheon! ✨

It was such a powerful afternoon as we listened to the impact of ABWA’s work to empower and mentor women of color in the fields of accounting and finance. The highlight of the luncheon was listening to the stories of seven future leaders as they accepted their scholarships. Financial assistance is important, but ABWA takes their impact a step further by providing each of these young ladies with mentorship and professional development. Talk about lasting impact!

That’s a wrap on our first ever U.S. Conference on Poverty and Basic Needs! Special thank you to our trusted partner for inviting us to tag along for such a powerful conference. did a FANTASTIC job putting on this conference. Each speaker was clearly selected with intention and purpose, providing so much knowledge. Our team wrapped each day with great conversation and goal setting about how we can further drive impact in ending diaper need in the Inland Empire in 2026 and beyond.

The NDBN team said this on day one — you’ll leave feeling both exhausted and rejuvenated, and they sure were right! I’m ready to take a looong nap 😅 but also ready to put in the work!
