Some people come into your life for a session....and some you're lucky enough to photograph through whole entire chapters of their story.

I first photographed Kate & Christian when they graduated from Westminster Choir College. Then came their engagement photos, their wedding day....and now I get to share the sweetest chapter yet:

They're having a BABY! And it's a BOY!

And looking back through their photos, I realized something that made this announcement even sweeter - somehow, Kate has ALWAYS worn blue for our sessions, or found a way to incorporate blue into their story. Even their wedding had touches of it. Maybe the universe was trying to tell us something all along 😉💙 I cannot WAIT to meet this sweet little guy!

There's just something about family photos at the beach....bare feet, salty air, snuggles, and those little in-between moments that end up being some of my favorites. I loved getting to capture this beautiful family together and freezing this chapter of their lives. The kids are growing way too fast, and I know these are the kinds of photos that only become more special with time.

What a beautiful night at the shore and the perfect way to end the season....until next year LBI

Sweet baby Rhys!!!

Ren & Ryan's 4th little love and their 3rd little boy - and it's pretty safe to say everyone is completely in love with him. But his siblings??? They absolutely adore him! There is nothing sweeter than watching big brothers and sisters love on the newest little member of their family.

Welcome to the crew, Rhys! You are already so, so loved.

Andrew | Class of 2027 🎓

Sometimes a photo can look perfectly fine...but still not feel like you.

Andrew's mom reached out after getting his school photos because she just didn't feel like they really captured him. So we got him in front of the camera and set out to change that. Relaxed, natural, and most importantly - Andrew being Andrew!

So glad I got to create these for him and his family ❤

We had a beautiful evening by the lake, there were sandy feet, wild giggles, Mom’s handmade flower crowns, Dad’s arms around everyone, and nowhere else they needed to be. 🤍🌼

Someday, the flower crowns will be tucked away, the sand will be long gone from between those little toes, and these babies won’t be quite so little.

This is why we take the pictures.

Ollie!!!!!! I can't believe this guy is one already - SO much personality and the happiest baby ever. We had the best Lil Jon dance party too!

Welcome Quinn!!!!! Fun fact, her sister, McKenna, wore this EXACT headband when she was a baby! It was only fitting that Quinn wore it today for her newborn session. One thing I can say is that this sweet girl is VERY loved by her people ❤

I don't normally make posts like this - actually, I don't think I've EVER made a post like this - but I feel like this needs to be said.

When I share sneak peeks or images from a session, the people in those photographs are real people...and sometimes, they're children.

Not every child is going to give me a huge smile. Some are shy. Some are nervous. Some take time to warm up. Some just don't feel like smiling. This is ok. And none of them owe us a smile for their photograph to be beautiful.

Making "jokes" or unkind comments about a child's appearance, expression, personality, or demeanor isn't funny...even if it was intended to be. My clients trust me with their families, and protecting that trust is incredibly important to me. Going forward, comments that I feel (or my clients feel) are unkind or inappropriate to ANYONE I photograph, but ESPECIALLY a child, will be removed and you will be banned from this page.

You never know what someone is going through and you don't need to know their story in order to choose kindness.

I'll get off my soapbox now, but thank you to everyone who helps keep this page a positive and supportive place for the families I love and photograph. ❤
