Who's feeling good after today? We are!
The first day of the 26-27 school year is in the books for Rio Rancho Public Schools, and what a day it was! We could not have been happier to see all of our amazing students back in our classrooms, eager to learn and grow.
Dr. Dodd spent the day welcoming students back, visiting classrooms, and meeting parents and staff from different schools across the district. His plan is to be present in all schools, so he'll see YOU soon!
Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for making Day One such a great one. Here's to an incredible year ahead!

Back to School Means Back to Safety!
As students head back to the classroom, let's all do our part to keep them safe.
Slow down in school zones and obey posted speed limits.
Stop for school buses when required by law. Flashing red lights and an extended STOP sign mean children are getting on or off the bus.
Watch for children crossing streets, riding bikes, and walking on sidewalks. They can be very unpredictable.
Put the phone away. Distracted driving puts everyone at risk.
Talk with your children about using crosswalks, looking both ways before crossing, and staying alert while walking to and from school.
Students, always wear a helmet when riding your bike or scooter and make yourself visible to drivers.
Our officers will be conducting extra patrols in and around school zones to help ensure a safe start to the school year.
Let's work together to make this school year a safe one for every student, teacher, parent, and school staff member
