Addiction now defined as brain disorder, not behavior issue Addiction is a chronic brain disorder and not simply a behavior problem involving alcohol, drugs, gambling or s*x, experts contend in a new definition of addiction, one that is not solely related to problematic substance abuse.

The DOR crew worked diligently on building this 10 foot tall free-standing structure during ECP today. The catch was everybody had a card with separate instructions that no one else could see and they all had to work towards a common purpose without talking. This was the result!

The ECP gives individuals tools and resources that they can use for their recovery long after they leave Desert Oasis in addition to the traditional treatment modalities. The aim of the program is to enhance the likelihood that a person will remain clean and sober throughout their life.
