Thanks to Scoutmaster Leonard and David MacDonald for arranging a tour of MacDonald Metalsmith forge in Los Lunas for the Metal Working Merit badge Scouts. He gave us a great tour of the various technologies and tools over the last hundred years or so. He also has a Zonkee!

Both Girls and Boys Troop 417 went to the Petroglyphs National Monument today. A flint knapping demonstration had hands on activities and a new scout was able to earn their Indian Lore Merit Badge.

A BIG Thank You to Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office for a tour of the aviation hanger and to the EEA Young Eagles program for giving our Aviation Merit Badge scouts introductory flying lessons today!!!

Congratulations to both Buffalo Patrol and Eagle Patrol for taking 1st Place in Shelter Building and Firestarting at this years Klondike Derby at Gorham Scout Ranch!
