We had a great time at our 2026 Annual Congregational Meeting!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night to reflect on our achievements over the past year, to look ahead to our bright future, and share their voice. Our community is what makes CBT so special!
And of course, staying for sweet treats at the dessert reception made it the perfect evening. Thank you to our Membership Committee for sponsoring the evening!
Here’s to another fantastic year together!
Annual Meeting hallelujah ✨

Yesterday, we welcomed families for our annual Blessing of the Babies. The holiday of Shavuot is a time when we celebrate the “first fruits” of the harvest, so this Shabbat we took a moment to honor the “new fruits” of our community — the beautiful babies who had joined our lives this past year.
During Shabbat services on Saturday, May 23, caregivers, parents, and grandparents joined us on the bimah for a special Aliyah and blessing. It was a joyful opportunity to celebrate each child’s arrival, recognize the blessings of new life, and share in the sweetness of the season together with our community.
Thank you to all of our incredible families who joined us for this joyful day!

Chag Shavuot Sameach, from the staff and leadership of Congregation Beth Torah!
At Mt. Sinai, every Jewish soul was present to receive the Torah. This Shavuot, we come together to celebrate, learn, and receive Torah once more - growing in knowledge, connection, and community.
From Love and Logic to Jewish meditation, from entrepreneurship to writing tips, from fun facts about language to so much more, this Shavuot, you’ll have the chance to learn from members of our own community as they share the topics they’re passionate about. Each session will be a short, engaging presentation, with bonus points for weaving in a Jewish text or value!
Whether you are teaching or just attending to learn and be in community, join us for our TED Talk-inspired evening of big ideas and Jewish learning!

from our Youth & Family Meetup at the Dallas Zoo! 🦒🐒🐘
Our families had a wonderful day exploring the zoo together — seeing amazing animals, feeding giraffes, taking snack breaks, and then heading right back out for more animal adventures! Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun-filled day of community, connection, and memory-making. We loved spending the day with you!

What a great way to end the year. Thank you Joy Weinstein for wrapping up our year with our amazing guest speaker, Lauren New. She was so informative and engaging.
Thank you to our outgoing 2025-26 board. Your leadership is what makes our Sisterhood thrive.
And welcome our new board members,
Donna Freedman Leibow and Sandi Frucht Bodzin Jordan. We are so excited to have you as members at large.
We have some exciting events for next year. We hope will renew their membership in July.
Wishing all a cool and safe summer.

As of today, our HundredX campaign has rasied $5,979 for Beth Torah through 179 signups.
That’s the good news.
The other news? We are still leaving more than $15,000 on the table.
HundredX ends on June 2 — just 19 days away — and every completed survey directly benefits our congregation at no cost to participants. Most surveys take about a minute to complete and can be done anytime from your phone, tablet, or computer.
And now, we can officially announce our raffle prizes. The more surveys you complete, the better the prizes get:
• Complete 25 surveys → entered to win an ice cream or frozen yogurt coupon from Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream or Monster Frozen Yogurt
Plus, weekly drawings for sweet treat coupons just for participating!
• Complete 50 surveys → entered to win an Oral-B electric toothbrush courtesy of Shwarts Family Dentistry
• Complete 75 surveys → entered to win a reserved parking spot at Beth Torah for an entire year — especially useful for High Holidays, rainy days, or packed events
And remember, you do not have to be a Beth Torah member to participate!
Please share the link with family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, grandparents, college students, and anyone else 18+ willing to spend a few minutes helping support our community. Every survey completed moves us closer to closing that $15,000 gap.
