Spring is in full swing, and it’s one of the best times of year to get outside and move your body. A walk around the neighborhood, a bike ride, working in the yard, or a hike with friends all count. Movement does not have to be intense to make a difference.
Spending time outside and staying active supports heart health, joint mobility, and overall wellbeing. Even small habits like taking a daily walk or stretching in the fresh air can add up over time.

FACT: X-rays often take only a few minutes. Ultrasound exams can usually be completed within half an hour. Even more advanced imaging like MRI or CT scans are typically finished within an hour. If you have been delaying an exam because you think it will take all day, it may be easier than you expect.

Medical imaging allows providers to look deeper and understand what may be causing pain, injury, or unusual symptoms. Clear images lead to clearer answers, which helps your care team decide the best next step.

An MRI uses magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of the inside of your body. It does not use radiation. The exam usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the area being studied. Your technologist will guide you through each step so you know exactly what to expect before the scan begins.
