🐾 💻Want to help a rescue but can't foster, adopt, or donate right now? 💻🐾
We could use your talents!
Mizfit Muttz Rescue is looking for a volunteer with website experience to help bring our website to life. We already have the domain, a website started, and plenty of content. What we need is someone who can help put all the pieces together into a polished, user-friendly site.
This is a great way to make a real impact for rescue dogs without opening your home or your wallet. Every adoption application submitted, foster recruited, and donation received starts with a website that works well.
If you have experience with website design, Wix, WordPress, graphic design, SEO, or just enjoy building websites, we'd love to hear from you!
🐶 Help us help more dogs find their forever homes.
Send us a message or comment below if you'd like to volunteer or learn more.

🐾 Banshee Has Entered His "Best Dog Ever" Era 🐾
Banshee will be 2 years old in August, and somehow this incredible guy has been waiting almost a year for a family of his own.
When you first meet him, he might seem a little reserved. That's fair. He's the type who likes to read the room before diving into the party.
But here's the thing...
Give him a week.
Seriously. Just one week.
The shy dog who wasn't sure about you suddenly becomes the dog who follows you around the yard, checks in on you every few minutes, and looks at you like you've hung the moon. 🌙
Banshee isn't a chaotic puppy anymore. He's left most of the obnoxious puppy nonsense in the rearview mirror. No tiny tornado energy. No bouncing off the walls. Just a good dog who's figured out that life is a lot more enjoyable when you can relax and enjoy it.
He's dog-friendly, does well off leash, and once he trusts you, he's one of the sweetest souls you'll ever meet.
He's not looking for everyone.
He's looking for his people.
And after waiting almost a year, we'd really love for him to find them.
🖤 Banshee
🐾 Shepherd Mix
🎂 2 years old in August
🐕 Dog friendly 🐱 Cat friendly
🏡 Needs a patient home willing to let him bloom
Because the best part of Banshee isn't the dog you meet on day one.
It's the dog you get on day seven. ❤️🐾

Meet Boston: Your Future Adventure Buddy & Professional Cuddler!
Age: 1.5 Years
Weight: 40 lbs
Breed: Mixed Mutt (100% Good Boy)
If you are looking for the perfect blend of a polite public gentleman and an sweet softie at home, look no further than Boston! At just a year and a half old, this 40-pound boy is ready to find his forever family.
Why We Love Boston:
The Ultimate Social Butterfly (With Dogs): Boston loves other dogs! He is always down for a good play session with a canine pal.
The Perfect Public Companion: Taking Boston out and about is a dream. He is a fantastic car rider and a total gentleman in public spaces - no barking, no pulling on the leash, he's just happy to be wherever you are.
A Certified Snuggle Bug: When playtime is over, Boston transitions seamlessly into chill mode. If there aren't any dogs around, he will happily curl up by your feet or on your lap. His signature move? Burying his head right under your arm for maximum cuddles.
Polite & House-Trained Habits: Nighttime is a breeze with this boy. He happily goes right into his kennel when it’s time for bed and sleeps soundly through the night. He doesn't mind sleeping on the couch while you're out running errands, either!
His Perfect Match:
Boston is a gentle soul who doesn't mind kids, but he can be a little shy when first meeting new people. Don't worry, though—he warms up incredibly fast once he knows he's safe! Because he is a bit sensitive to loud noises, he'd love a home that understands he might need a little extra reassurance during thunderstorms or fireworks.
Boston loves having dog friends to play with, so he would thrive in a home with other dogs.
He already has some very basic obedience down, and because he is highly treat-motivated, he *loves* to learn. He is ready and eager to master whatever new tricks you want to teach him!
**Ready to meet Boston?** He’s quiet, sweet, and waiting to bury his head under your arm.

Fleece has never been the loudest pup in the room. She’s the one sitting back quietly, watching the world with those adorable ears tuned into every little sound. ❤️
Truthfully, we started calling her “Felicia” because after every one of her siblings left, she’d trot away from me like, “Bye Felicia.” 😂
She’s reserved. Thoughtful. A little shy until trust clicks into place. She’s not your typical Velcro Doberman shadow attached to your hip 24/7. Fleece likes connection on her terms, and when she gives you that trust, it means something.
You can absolutely tell this girl was raised alongside a livestock guardian dog. She carries a lot of those same qualities:
• Alert bark
• Observant nature
• Slightly aloof with strangers
• Calm, gentle soul
She prefers dog friends who respect personal space and aren’t overly pushy. Belly rubs, however? Immediate yes. Every time.
She’s almost 5 months old, expected to stay around 50 pounds full grown, housebroken with a doggy door, and wonderfully non-destructive.
And the ears ❤️❤️
Somewhere between Doberman elegance and livestock guardian wisdom.
Fleece is the kind of dog who won’t bulldoze her way into your life. She’ll quietly weave herself into your heart instead.
Available for adoption through Mizfit Muttz Rescue.

We had a busy week for adoptions!
Killian found his forever family yesterday - he will get to enjoy a big family and live in the Bay Area and in Tahoe!
Mulligan has the most beautiful yard and made himself right at home in no time!
Booth is actually on adoption #2 because we don't always get it right the first time. We gave him some time in his new home before finalizing his adoption.
And long time resident Shortbread found her forever family this week as well with a little girl that will get to grow up with her.
Congratulations to all our pups and their new families!

We often get asked how much food we go through every month. This is an average feeding in JUST ONE of our foster homes. This is twice a day. 😳 We are so appreciative of the monthly donations from . We couldn't do it without you!

We just can't seem to catch a break with the medical expenses! We are still paying for Killian's blockage surgery ($5000), then Mr. Booth had a severe reaction to something he got into ($800) and now the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony puppies are fighting kennel cough ($861 so far). The girls are sicker than the boys and not out of the woods yet for pneumonia. We are treating with fluids, antibiotics and rest with the hopes that their tiny bodies can fight this off. Please, we need your help. Any amount helps! Please share if you can't donate.
